*nods*
Although, Kim isn't THAT torn up about Erik, she was saddened, but it was like, a huge soap opera big deal.

She didn't know him long enough for it to become a deeply passionate relationship so I don't see that being a reasonable explination. Besides, I don't think the AI programing could have gotten that far into it, Drakken did do good, but that's pretty danged advanced. He could sell that type of AI and make [Dr. Evil voice]one million dollars[/Dr. Evil voice] if it was that good. And he'd get a LOT of respect in the scientific community.

The whole "Out there...in here" scene is an epiphany for Kim. It's not a rebound, but a realization that there was something between them all along and that she was just settling for Erik because she had either believed or assumed that anything with Ron was both impossible or undesireable because of the food chain. When she says "Oh" she's finally realizing that none of that mattered. One of the most telling things is that as of that time, she had not even kissed Erik (she says she wanted to, but it's quite telling she didn't.) One dance into the Prom and she's laying a big one on Ron. She wasn't on the rebound, she was finally getting what her heart desired.

I had always said that Kim would have an epiphany, but I never really realized or thought that that quote was her's! That was so beautifully written, Argy.

I guess what you all are saying makes sense. The whole food chain thing irks me though.

Yeah. I know, it bugs me too. But I learned from KP that it's better to be yourself than be someone you're not.

Yeah I know.
I'm just glad I found the show. I don't wanna know what I would be like now without it.

I thought it was be nice to geeks.
I don't think Kim has ever said anything bad to Ron. And when she did she was justified in saying it.
Heck, I'd probably say much worse, cause I'm a hypocrite and all about brutal honesty.

In Kim's defense, Kim was ready to say, "To heck with the food chain. Bonnie is wrong. I'm taking Ron to the prom." Then Eric steps in and takes the first initiative. Remember, right before that moment, Ron tells Eric that he and Kim are just friends. Kim didn't think that Ron was ever going to step up and ask her out.
Ron as a rebound is . . . Well, Kim and Ron both noticed that they were crushing on each other at different times. Kim was ready to get serious in So The Drama. The food chain was an afterthought. Kim wanted a relationship first. Ron wasn't ready to admit Kim as a friend meant that he would have to watch her going out with other guys.

I now have no doubt that Ron wasn't a rebound but that just makes the glass half full. The other question is "Was Ron going to Tell Kim How he felt even though she was with Eric?" It seemed in his room he decided not to tell her. "What if she wants Eric and not me?" but when he got to the prom, it looked differently. I would hate to find out that Ron wasn't going to tell her because he didn't want to risk their friendship. One of the things you'll regret for the rest of your life is not taking risks.

Steve Loter is awesome and all but with the way So the Drama ended I just find it hard how they expect us to think Kim didn't get Ron as a rebound when she went straight to him after the whole Erick thing. If he hadn't melted I'm sure she would have stayed with him, don't kill me LOL. your right. How could they just expect us not to think it was a rebound after watching Emotion Sickness? Ron questioned Kim's feelings for him back then, why not now? They said something about not expecting them to be together so soon in the show. well if thats the case than this should be easy to fix. I heard they want to do a clip show episode where Kim and Ron reflect on past episodes. This would be a good way to put the whole rebound thing to rest. you can have them talk about events from the past like the whole 'Kim is jealous of Yori' thing in Gorilla fist and have Kim explain what she was feeling that day. And of course do the same for Clips from So the Drama( have Ron explain his side of the story too). This would be great and wouldn't turn the show into a soup opera. I mean come on! your telling me in the entire 22 episodes they can't spare one episode or at least the end of one to talk about their feelings. I really hope Bob, Mark or Steve read this.

You know, Jigsaw that's true. It would have been nice. But, the target audience-- a bunch of annoying 9 to 14 year olds don't like feelings. Ugh.

Good thing to know, Kim Possible is a good show that can teach lessons like that Does anybody else remeber the old cartoons with PSA announcements either blatantly built into the episodes or tagged onto the end (look at Thundercats or He-Man: And The Masters of the Universe for examples), They weren't bad per se, but they were tacky and KP does the same thing without the cheese factor.
