That is not the usual girl's underwear that we all know. Given that cheerleaders have to do backflips and other stunts, sort of like Kim doing in the pics, it is known that they do not wear typical underwear that one wears under pants, long skirts, etc. It's like a body cover that doesn't look provacative. I certainly saw plenty of views of the cheerleader's underwear when I was in school when they performed.

I've seen images like that before.
Well, I would think that cheerleaders would wear sort of shorts underwear, you know, to be more comfortable, but for some reason, they think that the more skin they have showing on their legs, the more spirit they have for their school...?

People, they're spankies. It's no big deal! Really. Alot of people think it's bad, but if you go watch a cheering competition, you'll see them. All cheerleaders wear them. My squad does. So does every other cheering team... don't make a big deal out of it...

I certainly wasn't offended or found it provacative, etc., so I was surprised others here thought other wise. Over at DeviantArt, I found this art done by yumibow. www.deviantart.com/deviation/20676832/It gave a view of her underwear, yet I certainly didn't thought that was her underwear showing. Now I know the word is called 'spankies' when applying to them.

They used that word in "Bring it On" (GREAT cheering movie!) and now everyone seems to be using it!

I think I've seen that on "Love Don't Cost A Thing" starring Christina Milan. She was a cheerleader there and it look exactly the same. I think that is perfectly normal attire for cheerleaders.

cheerleaders call these "knickers" spankies. hehe, yea, it's a funny name. But it's perfectly acceptable to see them during a cheer performance. It's not seen as scant or smutty. I mean, for Ceasar sakes they're doing back flips in skirts, what'd you expect?

We used to call them bloomers. I worked at a sporting goods store for a while in high school.
And I have to agree with most of the people here. Big deal. It is really no different then watching professional swimming or gymnastics. It is part of the uniform.
