Have you noticed that arround mid-season 2 the other cheerleaders stopped hanging out with Bonnie? Instead, she hangs with girls used in the background. Could her constant hate towards Kim and Ron have been the downfall of her popularity?

i think it was. isn't that about the time ron becomes the middleton mad dogg? there's an old saying you catch more flies with honey then with vinegar. this simply means to have friends you need to be nice to people and if your mean people won't hang out with you.

I would have to agree.
It is also around mid season 2 that Ron really starts stepping up. Therefore, Bonnie insistance on bashing Ron might have just worn thin on them.

I must concur with the majority opinion here. As Bonnie continued to be mean to Ron despite his rising popularity the more Bonnie started to lost friends. I guess her meaness is repayed in this.

Run down of the last 2 seasons:
23. Partners -- Seen with Brick. 26. Two to Tutor -- I don't remember any of the other cheerleaders in this. Bonnie takes pictures of random people (and Kim). 32. Job Unfair -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders at practice. 34. Car Trouble -- Bonnie's with Tara and Hope at Bueno Nacho. 33. Queen Bebe -- At the dance, Tara and Hope are with Big Mike and Bonnie's with 2? girls. 35. Go Team Go -- Bonnie's not with the other cheerleaders. 39. A Sitch in Time: Present -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 42. Hidden Talent -- Bonnie's alone in this ep. 43. Return to Wannaweep -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 44. Blush -- Bonnie's with 2 random girls and Josh. 45. The Full Monkey -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 46. Exchange -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders, and almost every teen in Middleton. 47. Oh Boyz -- At the end, Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 49. Ron Millionare -- Bonnie tags along with "The" Ron. 51. Rewriting History -- I know it's a dream, but Bonnie's seen with Tara and Hope. 52. The Truth Hurts -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 53. Steal Wheels -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders when Kim has a "big emergency". 54. Emotion Sickness -- All alone. 55. Bonding -- Stuck with Kim most of the ep. 61. Overdue -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders. 62. And the Molerat Will Be CGI -- Don't know. 57. So the Drama Part 1 -- Bonnie's with the other cheerleaders 58. So the Drama Part 2 -- All I remember is Bonnie trying to get Eric away from Kim. 59. So the Drama Part 3 -- Bonnie's at the prom with Brick, who wouldn't mind being with Monique.
Ok, you may be right.
After "Car Trouble", if you don't "Rewriting History", the only time the cheerleaders are with Bonnie outside of cheer practice is Exchange/Oh Boyz.

Maybe it's not because of Kim and Ron but on herself. Downfall of popularity depends on the person problems or crisis. Maybe Bonnie's problem is the lack of respect for others. After all, Bonnie is very irritating, bossy, and downright snob. Who could put up with that?

This is a fascinating idea, but I can't build much support for it.
One of the problems is, most of the episodes in season 3 after "Bonding" are so focused on Kim and Ron that we don't see much of either cheer practice or Bonnie. (They're in Molerat and Overdue) I could equally wonder whether Kim's hanging out with the other cheerleaders all that much. When they return (in a big way) in part one of "So the Drama," they seem pretty much aligned with Bonnie's opinions. They're all dating sports guys, even Tara, who's shown different tastes in the past (The "Steal Wheels" date doesn't look like an athlete, neither is Josh from "Emotion Sickness.")
And the crowd of cheering K/R shippers at the end is mostly background characters (except Brick and Monique), although when the dancing starts, Tara and her partner (a dark haired teenaged Bart Simpson wannabe), and I believe Hope and her partner are dancing near Kim and Ron. Bonnie is skulking, Brick oblivious, and Monique hanging with Rufus.
The sitch at the prom itself is the closest I can see to any downfall of Bonnie. Maybe afterwards, though I think if Bonnie's nastiness results in a status or popularity drop, she'll find a way to be just nice enough to reverse this.

Speaking of Tara, I've always found it interesting that her dance partner at the end of StD appears not to be the guy she was all lovey-dovey with in the hall in the scene after the Bermuda Triangle mission. (B-ball star Jason Morgan?)
