Yes, the sheet of paper didn't necessarily have to be a MAP showing the location, but just some document telling about the artifacts and the power in general. But there's no visible text, and the pieces of landscape still don't make any sense in that regard. Or...?
I'm not too fond of any of them in general, but they have some excellent MOMENTS each. The laughs are a little longer than ''haha'', but still in the same calm, dry tone.
I've thought along those lines as well. Then he must be REALLY obesssed. XD ...Which he clearly is.

Ahah, you already said so much interesting stuff about that episode that I really wouldn't know what to add aside from "I completely agree" XD I'm still going to sit back and watch the episode (looks like I'm not the only one to skip to favorite parts ;D) as soon as I get a chance, though I don't know if I'll manage to say anything interesting or coherent - my brain feels like it's been through a meat grinder every time I make it back home from University and sit with my laptop You know, I had never thought about it - but it IS interesting how Larry knows about Monty as well. I always assumed it was because he was a master of Tai Shing Pek Kwar, but now that I think about it, he actually says he followed his career for quite some time. Yep, he definitely had to be quite famous to be that known. Besides, as you point out, he even had Kim's admiration. That definitely means something XD I also completely agree with everything Hanna said about the episode in that other thread - now THAT is one in-depth analysis! XD I especially agree about how much darker that the usual KP standards Monty and Ron's fight in "MFS" is. Yeah, I agree. I already knew he was a bad guy when I watched that episode as well, but if I didn't, that scene would have made it quite obvious anyway. Yeah, it would have been awesome if we were shown what happened outside - there were definitely a lot of possibilities for interesting interaction. Anyway, if I try to imagine what it could have been like, I can only think of your version of it from "The Monkey's Valet". I can literally see it playing like an actual scene in my brain, and I doubt I could possibly come up with anything better than that. Awesome scene XD If so, Monty really could write a book. "How To Waste a Dreadful Amount of Money" XD Yup, the interior of his castle is really awesome. I think Hanna (it was you, right?) once said something about how it somewhat reminded her of Dracula's castle, only with a monkey man walking around instead of a vampire. It does fit XD Always too modest, uh? You could draw a rock and still make it interesting ...is that bad how now I can't get the image of Monty dressed up as a painter or something out of my mind? I agree. He definitely IS obsessed, and when people are obsessed with something they can get the weirdest stuff about it: paintings, postcards, lamps, doormats, clocks, dishes...believe me, I know XD I like that theory a lot. After all, some years pass between S1 and S4, and every character gets slightly older. Even ones whose aging is apparently slowed down by a genetic mutation ;D Nooo, what makes you think that...? ;D

^^ I don't havr to watch this episode again to recall it LOL. Watch it so many times I can not count oO. But you all say so much great stuff I do not know what to say oO.
Hm th emap, maybe the trees the bridge etc are symbols only Monkey Kungfuka understand?!? To Monty they could describe a land or something. Like hyroglyphs a picture language not everyone understand. I had now special mos liked episode I think. I love this one, but like his design mor ein all the others...No, really no favorite episode just favorit scene and phrases.

I recently showed one of my MFAD fanarts to my friend Gemini Artemis because I needed a second opinion on something. She noticed something that has never crossed my mind, but I find it highly interesting. This is what she said, It's true. Monty is always wearing his gi the wrong way in every single episode. And it cannot be just the KP creators getting it wrong because every other character wears their gi right, even when they're in the same frame as Monty. Ron, Yori and Fukushima are all wearing their gis right, so it must be deliberate that Monty does it wrong. Now, the question is whether he's so stupid that he doesn't know how to do it or if there is a symbolic meaning behind this.

I say he's just stupid ;D No, wait just kidding XD I think there was some symbolic meaning. Saying it's because it foreshadowed the fact he would be "killed off" since that's the way he dead are dressed for funeral would be definitely taking it too far (besides, a fourth season wasn't even planned...and why do I always come up with morbid stuff anyway? ), but I think the fact he's wearing his gi in the opposite way from the good guys (or the Yamanouchi ninjas anyway) does mean something - maybe it underlines he's a bad guy or something. Then again, maybe that's how the Monkey King Fu followers traditionally wore it: If you squint, it looks like they wore the gi exactly the same way, with the right side over the left side. ...yes, I'm desperately looking for excuses to take a break from study. How did you know that? XD

Excellent point! I didn't even think of checking that out. It makes sense that this could be some kind of special custom among the Tai Shing Pek Kwar tribe/followers/whatever they were. If we take that for a fact, then Monty is probably wearing his gi like that to show that he is or at least would like to be one of them.

Then again, maybe that's how the Monkey King Fu followers traditionally wore it: If you squint, it looks like they wore the gi exactly the same way, with the right side over the left side. ...yes, I'm desperately looking for excuses to take a break from study. If so, it's a rather morbid tradition if only the dead wear it that way at their funeral. Oh, well, I like morbid stuff ;D And man, Monty certainly is a wannabe XD First he wants to be a monkey, then he wants to be considered one of the Monkey Kung Fu followers...never glad with what he has, I see Dang, you just woke up the angst machine in my brain. Now I'll have angsty thoughts stuck in my mind for a good while XD Ahah, they ARE! XD How could I not notice that? (Okay, I know the answer - I was too busy squinting to see their clothes )

Now we just need to figure out if one is kicking the other's rear or if they're breaking out into a song-and-dance number.

You know, that's a brilliant idea. Irrational or not, it's really interesting. And I don't want to know what the two ninjas are doing. Or why the others are watching. ;D

That's why I'm trying to hold back XD Maybe that's just some...don't know, ritual new students have to endure in order to be accepted in the group or something? No, really. I mean it. In an absolutely innocent way (why do I get the feeling no one is going to believe me? ;D)

Oh ^^ there you find some topic oO. I noticed that he wear his Gi "the wrong" side before. If anyone of you noticed I wear it different from Monty in my cosplay, I just couldn't bring myself to wear it wrong like, you said it, the death. I'll try to find out what real Monkey Kung Fuka wear. Or Sun Wu kong himself (but in most pictures he has a Toga so I can't see what hes wearing ><) No time now but I will ^^. But I think they do it to all Monkey Kung Fuka in the series to decide from Yamanouchis Mantis Kung Fu (remember that the Student what came to Kims school do it?). Kiss Li

Stop filling my mind with cracky ideas XD You know, for some reason the fact you didn't want to wear it the way dead people do doesn't surprise me XD I think no one would like the idea anyway

I always felt tempted but never quite had the courage. Ahah, that's great. I can easily guess you were tempted XD But hey, at least he said he would kick you out and not that he would kick you. I know something like that happened a friend of mine (it wasn't judo though), and a boxe instructor I had clearly told me that if I ever dared to lower my guard for one second he wouldn't hesitated to struck rather than just "correcting". And man, he was telling the truth. My jaw has never been the same again *whistles innocently*

I think we should try to get the episode review marathon back on track. Everyone who wants to take part should find some time to watch Monkey Ninjas in Space in the course of the following week and say something about it.
