Alright I'm starting this thread to figure out why the villain do what they do. It always interest me after all trying to figure out why a person would commit evil acts.
Here what I've come up with at the moment.
Drakken - Made fun of so he's on a quest to prove himself.
Shego - Unknown. Was once a hero so we can assume some sort of traumatic event occurring to cause her to go evil.
Motor Ed - Mullet love Seriously! Dude an idiot plain and simple. He's basically the type that only cares about himself and takes advantage of everyone else around him.
Monkey Fist - Power? I just can't see this being his only motivation. After all he just doesn't seem to be hard core enough about his quest. Must be something more behind this.
DNAmy - Insane classic God complex type person. She likes playing God basically. Doesn't care who she hurts in the process too.
Duff Kilgan - Insane golfer. I just think he's totally nuts personally.
Dementor - Unknown. Take over the world maybe?
Senior Senior Senior - Like the whole conflict between hero and villains. I'm assuming he values the fight more then the victory and may even make sure he loses in the end. Of all the villains I see him being the most likely to actually try to save Kim Possible life if she was ever in real danger. God help anyone who cheated him of his contest.
SSJ - Idiot! Just does what daddy tells him to.
Lucre - Greed.
That's what I've got so far. What do you all think?

I agree with you on most points except for SSJ. He may just follow SSS's orders on the previous two seasons, but he really came out on his own on his season 3 episode, And the Molerat will be CGI. He really wanted to be famous in some sort of way.

Monkey Fist - Power? I just can't see this being his only motivation. After all he just doesn't seem to be hard core enough about his quest. Must be something more behind this. I don't think it's power, either. So here's how I think of it: As a boy, he grew up in wealthy, blue-blooded English society. He'd have the stereotypical wealthy English parents, who were most likely too busy or too important to pay him any attention or love. I imagine he was also privately tutored and was a very lonely child without friends. He could also have been an awkward child and been teased by other children. At some point he was introduced to monkeys, which fascinated him. Perhaps as a child he had a monkey as a pet. So, Monty poured himself into every bit of history, background, and lore he could find on monkeys, becoming the world's leading expert on them. He became a disciple of monkey kung fu, and perhaps found out about some information leading to the mystical aspects of monkey ninja power and all that magical stuff. At some point he went a bit crazy and got himself some monkey hands and feet and decided to proclaim himself heir apparent to the monkey throne. He definitely believes that monkeys are a better species than humans, and if he was so mistreated as a child, then he has good reason to think so. I also think that the reason he's such a saucy, arrogant little English nobleman is that it's just the way he was raised.... not to respect others. As we saw in the first episode, he had a little psycho-fit and was throwing his dishes around and mistreating the Pringlesman. (I wish they'd bring back the pringlesman so we could find out what happened to him, lol!) I wish we knew more about him. Sadly, I bet if we were given his background in the fourth series, it would be something incredibly stupid like... "Monty was a spoiled brat who found a mystical monkey tome in his father's library and from then on was evil throughout his wittle monkey bones..." Blahblahblah. So there's my guesswork on Monty's background for becoming an evil man-monkey maniac.

Well Shego became evil not by any traumatic incident, she became evil because she began to hate good things, and saving the world. She decided to leave the side of good and become evil on her own will.

What is Shego's sin, greed? Tired of helping others and now she id only concerned for the well-being of herself.

Greed could be her sin, and even selfishness and arrogance.

Here's what I can actually glean or extrapolate from the show.
In Drakken's case, a missing father, a clingy, obnoxious mother whose oblivious to how others perceve her, social problems in elementary school (see "Twin Factor") and college (see "Killer Bebes" and "Showdown at Crooked D"). The desire to prove himself and take revenge on those he thinks have wronged him have combined to make the familiar less-than-successful megalomania. He has to constantly remind himself how evil he is to keep himself on the wrong track.
Shego's got a personality that runs somewhat toward the goth-- think Raven of "Teen Titans," Violet of "The Incredibles." or Daria. Black hair, black lipstick, pale skin. So imagine her in high school, with whatever social problems her personality brings to her, secretly a superhero, but at Hego's insistance (probably Mego too) unable to take credit for her good deeds. When she switches sides, she takes off the mask but continues to wear the Team Go costume, an act of defiance mixed with an attempt to discredit all that it means. No wonder she hates Kim, a high school hero whose deeds, unlike hers, are in the open.
Duff Killigan's presented as someone who thinks he's been wronged, banned from every gold course in the world because of his bad temper. Funny thing, he doesn't seem like that bad tempered a guy. In fact, he has quite a sense of humor. Aside from his supergrass plot, he usually acts as a mercenary, stealing things like the Centurian Project (Oct 31), the Greetinex chip (Adv in Rufus Sitting) and possibly Ray X (Sick Day), with an eye for the fair market value. Is that so mad? His golf balls usually keep Kim at sufficient distance that he avoids being kung fu'd black and blue.
Monkey Fist is an enigma. We know he wants to be Supreme Monkey King, whatever this is, but we don't know why. He's presented when introduced as both archaeologist interested in monkey artifacts and biologist interested in real monkeys. He wouldn't be the only person to get totally lost in his work (Chester Yapsby of "Roachie"?), but there's probably more to it than this. We just don't know.
DNAmy's the world's only genetic artist. She really wants to make mutants, not for any monsterous purpose, but because she thinks they're cool. Her evil side comes out whenever anyone either 1) mocks or criticizes her creations, or 2) refuses her romantic overtures.
Senior Senior's a completely amoral jet-set type who apparently got into evil because he was bored. ("The New Ron") I imagine a lifelong trail of financial success, failed marriages, and decadent behavior in his past. Actually declaring himself a villain gave him some focus. Here at last was a value system that actually made sense to him.
Senior Junior's a playboy, pure and simple, with no ambitions beyond a good tan, a disco, a record contract, and probably lots of babes in small bikinis. You know the type. Reluctantly he follows his father.
Motor Ed's a car and truck fanatic who can't afford the best tools and parts, so he steals them.
Does this help?

It explains quite a lot. This is not exactly KP related, but I felt like saying my motivation just because I feel like it:
I was created through sorcery by Destane, and I was trained in the dark arts by him. Fearing that I will overthrow him someday, Destane decides to throw me in the dungeons and turn me into a mamluck. Then with the help of Xerxes, I turned on my master and turned him into a lowly mamluck. But due to his treatment, I became twisted, selfish, dark and a villain. My goal now........ is to be the best and rule the world. That's why I am quite gothic and pale in appearance, sort of like Shego.

Motor Ed- He isn't neccesarily evil more than as he just was kicked out of the mechanical business because he broke the dress code. He's just a rebel, and well. wants to demolish everything with Moster Trucks xD Monty- *agrees with Monkeylove* And, yes.. i do wish we learned more about his past. But I also just think he's OCD, and wants to become the Monkey King. . no harm in thast i see.. let him rule the monkies I say xD Shego- For awhile there I also thought it was because of soemthing, well, more depressing (of course.. like they'd tell that on a kids' show ). . but, i also think that, after ASIT, we basically see that her real dream is to become ruler of the world.. she just has to motovation. Maybe she just likes to feeling of taking risks.. and being in the hero bizz gave her none of the adrenilyn *shrug* *also completely agrees with cloudmonet* ^_^

I honestly feel that Shego is simply out to do what is most interesting at the time being. She did the hero thing for awhile, and now decided to try the other side.

Update: I was taking the Villains Quiz on disneychannel.com, and was answering everythig like if I were Monkey Fist. . and i sorta got an idea of why he may be the way he is. . Here's the description of a Classic Power Villain:
Creative and adaptable, the power villain is a master of transportation. Power villains often come from nobility but often feel they don't fit in, thus, turning to villainy in order to stand out. The thing that holds he power villains back is their temper (xD lmao).
So. . .basically, poor Monty never fit in.. awwwz *hugz him*
