Has anyone else had trouble uploading documents onto FF.Net? I cant post the new chapter to my fanfic!
Is it just me or is FF.Net starting to get annoying? Every now and then they keep having maintenace trouble with their server, and it takes things a while to get updated.

Sometimes, when there is a minor glitch that keeps you from uploading, you can use a 'back door' upload. If you've already got existing chapters, export one, the go to the document manager, pull up the editing window and erase all the text. Copy and paste your new text in, save it, then go to stories and post as normal.
I got a few dozen PMs from people wanting to know how to do that when the main system was down about 3 days, yet my story was being regularly updated.

It works fine now...strange.
But I'll keep that in mind, you dont know when their server might strike next!
The only way I can do that is if I always keep a spare document stored in the doc manager. Because my doc manager is always empty until I need to post a new chap. Thanks, Commander!

No need for a spare doc—export one from any existing story, like the Commander said. That's what I did yesterday. If you've never published anything before, I've found that plain text docs can often be uploaded even if other formats can't.

oh, okay...thanks for the tip! Never knew I could do that. Could you explain to me the process? 1. Log in to your account 2. Click " Stories" on the left-hand side of the page 3. Click " edit" for any story that you've posted on the site 4. Click " Story Edit >> Content/Chapters" 5. Click " exp" on any chapter to export it to th document manager 6. Go to " Documents" and edit the exported doc to be the new chapter you want to post.
