Dude, baptism of fire is an understatement.

We had an incident about a year ago where one of our troopers found a few machine guns in the trunk of a guy's car, but nothing like that! Did you make all that up for the story, or is some of it based on a real incident?

Either way, I can't wait to see what else you're gonna have Kim and Ron go up against. Keep up the good work.

I am interested in why you chose to write this as an AU. Was this a conscious decision? Up until this last chapter I just figured it took place after StD, but the whole Josh thing shoots the story back to season two. I found that to be an interesting choice.

That entire incident was based on an actual case I worked with my old department! Aside from the names being changed (Obviously), everything else really occurred... including the Kevlar in the walls, the 30mm automatic cannon, and the ATF agent discharging the Streetsweeper into the front lawn (He actually fired it into a pool in real life, but I went with the lawn because I felt it was funnier. ;D).

Yeah, that was a deliberate choice... I felt that if I started early in the series, I could add more storyline regarding Kim and Ron's developing relationship. Plus with Josh still in the picture, there's bound to be some drama!

Something tells me that the drama you have instored for Josh is going to be alot different than the drama I have instore for Josh.
