This one may be a little hard to do, since the idea revolves around something that hasn't been seen since World War II The idea revolves around an old comic known as Flash Gordon, if your a star wars fan then you may have heard of this one since it was the main insperation for Star Wars. If you haven't Flash Gordon was a popular space opera from the 1930s, and focused on the adventures of three friends on another planet (Sound familiar). Characters
Flash Gordon: Main character, polo player turned adventurer Dale Arden: Flash's girlfriend Dr. Zarkov: A slightly crazed scientist, who uses a home made rocketship to reach the planet Mongo (Yes I know that's a dumb name, but its what Alex Raymond came up with when he created the character) Ming the Mercieless: Mongo's cruel Emperor Princess Arua: Ming's daughter

I think for many of the populous here, not all, mind you, that you could also refer to the movie, Flash Gordon, where they have Flash as a football player.
Interesting idea, actually. The suggestions that I would give you is to turn things up a little. Don't for for Drakken and Shego as Ming and Aura. Use Drakken as Dr. Zarkov... Keep Shego on Earth and have her have to deal with the vaccuum left by Kim no longer being there. Ming, of course, wants to conquer Earth, so heroes and villians will need to step up to hold him off while Kim and Ron help the rebellion on Mongo, and Drakken keeps coming up with progressively better rattletrap contraptions to "Stick it to the Man! If I haven't taken over the world yet, I will be d@mn3d if I will let you do it!"
BTW with Netflix Flash Gordon Serials live on in all of its Buster Crabbe goodness!
