I apologize for this being a fairly generic question, but I searched and couldn't find quite what I was looking for.
Forget the genres of fics but...
what actually makes you keep reading a fic? What keeps you interested? What makes an awesome KP fic?

I like a fic that has a deep plot, one that could turn the story into an epic tale. When parts that seem to be completely irrelevent to the story suddenly makes all the difference to where everything is going. One where every action has a reaction, and concequences are shown from those actions. That's what really keeps me reading a fic, although I do like to read amost any other type, it's just those qualities that really make a story worth while.
The stuff that I've read from you Miss Piratess, I find them nicely planned out and prove to be good reads.

personally, I like a fic that reads to me like an episode waiting to be produced - I can see in my mind's eye exactly how it would play out on the television screen. but then again... I'm strange.  |

Well written fics, with nice long chapters and a plot that involves Kim and Ron as the main characters. (I don't really read OC fics, or Drakken/Shego fics.) Shippyness is OK, as long as it's not an overdose. And I don't usually like Angst/Romance kind of fics. I'll admit though, if Ron is the main character, I'm usually automatically hooked. ;D It's not hard to please me. ;D I think.  |

I am a hardcore D/S fanfic writer and reader  But, I hate OOC.. bugs the heck out of me. Also, i just tend to read fics with Drakken and Shego as the main characters with or without the shippyness.. just cause they're hlarious to read about  Of course.. has to be in character. i don't mind the length.. one-shot or deep plot, just as long as it is well written and not like Drakken: hi shego Shego: shutup drakken |

Not many people would read fics like mine and ezbok, only cos we got our own characters in it. Mine's even worse than the other, as the character (Vin Credible) takes centre stage in this fic.
So long as I see K/R shippyness, I'll be into any fic.
