Didn't know which forum to put this in, but this one seems to be appropriate.
If you include yourself into your KP fan fics and art, how did you/your character meet the crime fightin' trio?
My story(Post STD):
Chris moved close to Middleton after spending a year working after high school. Mostly, he was looking for a good college in the US, one where he could also find a career as a journalist. Chris loved chatting on computers, and blogging. Searching among blogs at ComputerGenius.Com, he came upon one that talked all about high tech gadgetry, and decided to read it. The blog even had a webcam, which also caught his attention. Deciding to give a cheerful hello, Chris gave an instant messenge to the blogger. "Wade" popped up on his screen after Chris typed in "Hey, Wade!", with this reply:
"Sorry, can't talk right now. Helping save the world."
Chris laughed to himself. All computer geniuses thought they were saving the world. Soon, Wade and Chris became cyber buddies, talking every once in a while. After the first week Chris moved into his college dorm room, he had learned that Wade actually DID help save the world, being a helper for the legendary heroine, Kim Possible.
One night, after holding a movie night in his room with lots of cheese and crackers and other assorted snacks, Chris awoke with a start, hearing noises which sounded like nibbling coming from inside his little refrigerator.
"Oh great. Mice."
Chris got up and snuck to the fridge, and opened it quickly. He screamed out in surprise as a rodent inside the fridge screamed back.
Chris fell backwards as a pink naked mole rat ran out of the fridge and underneath his room door, a huge chunk of cheese inside it's mouth.
Still curious why a naked mole rat was in his room, Chris opened his door to hear someone whispering "RUFUS!"
Chris looked down the hall to see the mole rat jump onto Ron Stoppable, hiding under his pajama shirt.
"Sorry 'bout that, dude. Rufus usually gets hungry at night, I forgot to feed him. And Bueno Nacho was closed." Ron said quietly as he walked up.
"No worries. I was just surprised to see a naked mole rat in my fridge." Chris replied.
"I'm Ron Stoppable." Ron said extending his hand.
"Chris Verge." Chris replied, shaking Ron's hand. "And now that we've been introduced, Rufus is allowed in my fridge anytime. Unless I'm sleeping, of course."
"MMmmm.. cheese!" Rufus said with a smile.
After that, Ron and Chris soon became pals as well, and also became good friends with Kim and Monique, after learning Ron was Kim's sidekick and boyfriend, and that they all attended the same college.

I'm doing something similar, although in the end I ended up being with Drakken and Shego instead.

If you want to see what mine is like look at the "I wanna start my first fanfic ever..." thread in this Fanfiction board.
Anyway I think your story is way cool. Getting to know Wade first is a good idea. That and the fact that not many people mention Wade eventhough he appears in almost every episodes makes it rather unique.
Do you plan to write something more? Occational saving the world sitch?

Actually working more on this story right now, yes. ^_^
I've always thought Wade was really awesome, and needs more attention. As for saving the world, I only help where I'm needed. Sometimes I'll be the backup computer genius if Wade is hacked again or something!

In my first story The Team Grows, The two are called to GJ hq where Dr. Director Informs the two that after the events of StD The Villains have gotten more ruthless in their tactics and meathods that could possibly cause harm to Team Impossible.
I come in as I am tired of the GJ scene as one of their top agents, second to Will Du. Tests prove that a third member to the team keeps the playing field level.
My other stories branch off of that.

Okay, my turn. As it turns out, Vincent Clayton, whom I used to portray myself in the world of KP, had known his friends Ron and Kim since the second day of Pre-K, when Ron had introduced one new friend (Vin) with another (Kim), only he forgot when he moved away, and this might explain how tight he feels with them. Anyway, in his seventeenth year, the agency he worked for had assigned him with Kim and Ron, somewhere in Season 3, to battle another fictitious gang threatening to overthrow the worldly Empire. His mission was simply to prevent World War 3 from ever happening. Maybe you should check out my fanfiction instead. This is very complicated to explain. You can find a link on my sig.

My character met Kim and Ron as a result of a plan made up by Drakken.
She meets them in my fanfiction "The New Girl" which I'm currently revamping because I don't like it at all.

well, basically i'm writing one right now. Basically I meet up with Drakken and Shego, by somehow getting transported into "their demension" from ours, right here.. right now. And, yea, it's a colection of short stories, probabaly like one short story per chapter, of me, living with Drakken and Shego.. the odd little conflicts, the humor, and me, trying to ship them together <3 It'll hopefully be like, one of those neverending collection of stories xD for as long as I have time and ideas (based off of tons of daydreaming ideas and fanart concepts of mine) Rated Teen and Romance/Humor

I've done something similar to this, but I scrapped the idea after the first chapter, I didn't really like where it was going, plus there wasn't a lot of interest.
But, in my other fanfic Heart of Darkness the main villain and some other characters are some of my creation, some were created for the story and others were created and I thought I'd put 'em in there. I guess that counts

I have discovered when you put yourself or other characters into a story, no matter how good of a story it is. It doesn't draw alot of interest.
People want Kp stories with the existing characters, a character that you created being part of their story takes away from the story.
I recently rerwritten one story to ditch my character, and I only have plans in other stories to have my character pop in for short stints of time. So as to not be a crutial part of the story.

The closest I have to a self-insertion in a KP fic is the character of Randall West in "College Days". At the very least he's modeled somewhat after me.
All he does is act as Kim's floor RA (Resident Advisor) her first year of college. After that... well, with the way I have the dorms set up, he probably won't be appearing much. Mostly he's there on a whimsy, to serve as plot device.
Poor fellow, reduced to such an existance...

I must comment on the observation that, when I think about it, is very logical. I am doing something exactly like that though . I suppose only my first story will be centralized on myself. The stories following up will be mainly focused on the existing characters. I hope I can still keep interests up that way............

Now I ditched the idea of myself being in all together. Well not exactly all together as I will be in the stories for short periods (walk in, says some stuff, goes away) No major part of the story line, just there.

I've only had a small bit of self insertion in my stories. As a bit of comic relief, I am mentioned as the narrator to the rest of the characters of the story. They'll mention my name every once and a while if an unneeded part in the plot emerges, telling how they just wasted my time. It's not really a large element of the story, just used to lower the tension in some of the parts. Example:
"Phase two of the re-animation process is complete. Everything should be done in the next couple hours. Right now the fighting preferences are being altered in her brain." Shego replied.
"You didn't have to tell me what process is taking place, I know that the fighting preferences get altered in the second phase." Drakken retorted.
"Well I thought that I should explain it to those that are reading so the narriator wouldn't have to. But here we are wasting his time by talking about this." she replied, smacking herself on the head sheepishly.
I also did add a character that definately isn't even close to describing me, but he and Ron met durning college. His name is David, and doesn't have much to do with the story until the second half of the first installment of Everlasting Love.

I do have to agree with ebok58a, only cause the fanfics that i have seen with inserted new characters, are all like -- "I am catwoman!! half cat and half woman... here to save the world with KP!! RAWR...." And that's like all it is -___- Which is why i hope to, in my fanfic, be able to have people learn about my perverted self, like i am an actual character. basically go in depth, while also go in depth with Shego and Drakken
