I posted this fic yesterday morning, and so far I've been extremely pleased by the response it's received. Yes, it's post-StD, Kim and Ron are together, etc.

And rather than reply to each individual review I've gotten, I thought I'd post a few comments here, since I know some of you have been over at FFN.
First of all, this story was originally conceived as a response to the Short Fanfiction Contests. When I read the first February post, I misinterpreted the content to mean that people would have to write something based on EITHER Valentine's Day, homecoming, or parallel dimensions. On a whim, I took an hour to write a story based on the third option. I figured I'd let it sit on my hard drive until Feb. 1, then post it.
As I later discovered, however, there was to be a VOTE on which topic we'd used. This left me in the position of waiting for 2/1 to see which topic won. As it happened, the winner was Valentine's Day. I was left with the option of waiting until a later month. Now, I'm not the kind of writer who can finish stories and then just sit on them, so I decided heck with it, I'd just post it normally.
The reason I say this, is some people have asked why it wasn't longer, or if there are more chapters. The reason it's as long as it is was that the contest stipulated less than 25,000 characters.
I think if I'd had an idea for a longer story, I probably would not have written it. I realized in the spring of 2005 that I was going to stop writing fan fiction by the end of 2006, once certain projects were completed. Longer stories would slow me down. The appeal of writing this was precisely because it was short. It was an hour out of my day. Wiped my hands, moved on.

In case you're wondering, most of the alternates seen in this story are pure creations of my brain, not characters from other fics. That includes killer-Kim, vampire-Ron, cyborg-Shego, and Moodulated-Kim.
Other than the characters who are the stars of this story (who are of course based on animated canon), the only alternates to come from another story are, naturally, from mine. Rather than seeking permission from other authors, you understand. The first Kim, Shego, and Ron to appear are from the Unacceptable Sitch stories, and can be identified by the fact that one of Shego's hands is generating black plasma. When Ron is cut off before he can reveal who he's involved with, it's because he's currently single in the US series.
The title is, of course, inspired by the saying "too many cooks spoil the soup".
