how could that be Kigo if it has elements of K/R in it? Only if Ron were trying to break up Kim/Shego because he wants Kim. The sitch you described is not K/R. It's Kigo. There is no K/R in it. I meant that if a story already have Kim and Ron as a couple in the story, how could anyone label it as Kigo if it's K/R?

perhaps the "problem" is that we're coming at the word from two different POVs... for me, Kigo is a mishmash of the words Kim and Shego - meaning a relationship between the two women - and is primarily used to classify a fanfic so that those seeking that sort of story can find it quickly and easily, and those who aren't interested in that type of thing can skip over the story without trouble. but I'm seeing Kigo used here in different contexts - as a way of Kim and Shego being the main characters in a fanfic without any romantic intentions or slash - which means that if you define your fanfiction with these terms, you'll possibly have your audience confused. of course, I could be wrong... ooh... fish and chips! *wanders off*

^ If anyone ever labels a KP story Kigo for the latteral explantion you've given, Aers, there will be problems, for most people know the slash (/) means romantic relationship, no friendship involved.
If anyone ever read "Shego Rocks!", that story have a large interaction between Shego and Kim and they become friends. Is it Kigo? No, because there are no romantic context between the two characters. If Kigo means K/S, people shouldn't be labeling a story Kigo if there is only friendship involved.

That's very odd, Surforst. Or are those four mutually inconsistent scenarios? Yeah pretty much. I write odd stories. ;D Anyway I'm surprised that this debate is still going on. To me Kigo is simply anything involving Kim and Shego being attracted to each other and acting on it. If they kiss and both like it then its Kigo. If they give in to the urge to merge then its Kigo. If they date then its Kigo. If Kim throw Shego out of a bar window when she hits on her and then finds Ron and makes out with him then its not Kigo. Simple.

IMO, unless Kim and Shego are involved in a, genuine or not, romantic, sexual, dare I say it...homosexual love relationship, it's not Kigo.
Keep in mind that I really don't like Kigo, and that's the part that bugs me the most. I have no problems, however, with Kim being friends with Shego, or Shego flirting with kim to simply annoy her, even if they do sretch the KP Universe in more ways then one.
