I have just realised something about the Kim Possible Episode: 'Showdown at the Crooked D' and one of the new characters introduced, Kim's Uncle Slim. I believe that the idea for his name, Slim, may have been taken from the novel 'Of Mice And Men' by John Steinbeck. In this book which I am studying in my English class, George And Lennie are two men living in America during the Great depression in the 1930s. They get a job on a ranch and while there, they meet Slim, a Jerk-line Skinner. Now your probably thinking, 'So what does that have to do with Slim Possible?' Well they seem like very similar characters. They are both confident and respected on their respective ranches, both are very good at their ranch-related jobs, both are friendly and pleasant characters. I could go on, but instead, I will leave you with these to pictures comparing Slim Possible and the character Slim from a film version of 'Of Mice and Men', just try to ignore the moustache: Of course, it may all be a coincidence and I may just be talking rubbish, but you never know. Tell me what you think and don't be too hard on me

I've only read the book. I didn't really like the ending. John Steinbeck has problems.

Well, this isnt about Slim but it is about Drew Lipski. I think he is Polish, like Poland. I was looking up Poland and noticed Lipski is a last name there. This is not spaming and I'm not going to start a new forum!

Hmm never read the book, but there's a good possiblility (Pardon the pun) that it wasn't coincidence. The writers are always throwing things in the series like that.
