I always forget to Shamelessly promote things here. My fairly new website Disney Channel Fans is a new general DC fansite. We don't discuss the save my show stuff there, and it is mostly just for news on DC projects, shows, stars, ect. The site also has a massive screencap section. All but ~6 episodes of Hannah Montana are capped and up. Half of The Suite Life and American Dragon are up. there are DCOM caps too, like Cadet Kelly & High School Musical. Eventually we'll set up a forum too, but not yet. dcfans.tv

This was interesting... ‘Hannah Montana’ uses body double in concert Filed under: Hannah Montana Permlink: savedisneyshows.org/news/index.php?article=194<blockquote>NEW YORK (AP) — It was ever so brief, but the use of a body double by Miley Cyrus on her best-selling “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus ‘Best of Both Worlds’ ” tour is creating plenty of buzz. Cyrus A video posted on YouTube shows the 15-year-old entertainer as “Hannah” dancing onstage with a group of dancers and the Jonas Brothers, also on the tour. During the song, someone ushers her offstage via a trap door. Immediately, another girl dressed like the character “Hannah” in the same pink trench coat with blonde hair covering her faces dances around, runs up the stage set, and then quickly leaves. While the double is holding a microphone for her less than a minute, the girl motions like she is singing. However, a rep for Miley said the switch was only for costume purposes. “To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of ‘We Got the Party’ incorporating a body double for Miley,” according to statement Friday from the public relations firm PMK. “After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set. Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert.” Miley’s “Hannah Montana” tour is one of the nation’s hottest tours, selling out within minutes when tickets went on sale last fall. Some people have been reselling tickets for thousands of dollars. Miley has released two albums under the “Hannah Montana” brand, both of which have sold more than two million copies. The “Hannah Montana” is an offshoot of the Walt Disney Co. TV show. =============================== Hannah is the 2000 version of The Monkeys. Worked pretty well then too.

Great Job on the site, Greg! However I would like to offer one small tip: "Dynamic thumbnail creation powered...", I would strongly recommend against dynamically creating thumbnails. This takes a lot of cpu from the server. If we did that with Wallace's Caps on KPFW, we'd have a lot more server problems That must have taken a lot of work, capping is a long and tedious process! Once again, great work! Hope to see more! Phil

Nice site! I like the news section too. Thank you! CONGRATS on the new work, Greg! SUPER job on this. Thank you! Great Job on the site, Greg! Thank you! I would strongly recommend against dynamically creating thumbnails. This takes a lot of cpu from the server. I have discussed coding screencap pages with Brian in the past. My screencap code (based on Adam's original StD caps code) checks to see if a particular image set has a set of pre-made thumbs. If it does (and 90+% do) then it used those thumbs. If there or no thumbs provided, or is one is missing, then it dynamically creates what it needs. Best of both worlds. That must have taken a lot of work, capping is a long and tedious process! Yes. It's been an ongoing project for more than six months. I plan on starting on Lilo & Stitch the series and Phil of the Future once I finish Hannah Montana and The Suite Life. But I have to start doing P&F too, so I dunno. I wish DC was showing ADJL season 1 episodes so I could cap those too.
