yes, you probably have to use another container like mkv or ogm instead of avi. you'll be able to mux srt into avi but the subtitle might not be playable. when you say "merge" and no reencode i suppose you mean soft subs.

In a terrifying world of war and campus shootings it seems to me that the current sign-burning scandal at our own Weber State University is nothing more than shameless bigotry in all its petty glory that has gone too far. Let’s look at the facts. College students, being college students, make a bonfire out of signs that had remained up far past their removal date. Those involved in the burnings say they meant no malice, and they probably did not–we have no proof otherwise. Wahlstrom originally did not care about the burning; it was not until he saw photos that he took offense. All he saw in the photos was a chance to whine and moan and make himself look like a pathetic victim. Did he not know what was on his own signs? If so, he would have taken offense immediately when notified instead of waiting for dramatic proof. Instead of accepting a sincere apology and taking the time to consider the viewpoints of those he claims to selflessly serve, he takes the opportunity to prove how little consideration he has for the people of this land. Wahlstrom acts like a martyr over a burnt sign. Is there nothing else to worry about? Was it worth pressing charges? What is gained by this? Is he more concerned over the words of laws rather than the values those laws were designed to protect? Wahlstrom’s high-and-mighty attitude makes perfect sense for his campaign–why was this Marine improperly using his uniform to promote himself over his country?
When is an apology an apology? Why could not one be accepted? Have we become a country where charges must be pressed and people must be sued? How selfish and sensitive have we become? Let’s grow up a little. Those involved with the burnings were not in office at the time–therefore there is no logical reason they should be removed from office.
Nasty letter I wrote.

“You want me to deal your girlfriend a blow that’ll render her unconscious?” “…Now it sounds harsh.” “Maybe we should inject it into a bird and call it a day.”

www.fanfiction.net/s/2243340/1/For a post here on RS.net... if I'm going to refer to a fanfic or something, I will have a link. Unless I've forgotten the name, the plot, the author, the fandom, and the website, I'll have a link.

I saw worse earlier, from "Kurdistan" (Iraq) of all places. Apparently when a 17 year old Kurdish girl is tricked into coming back to her village after being away for the night seeing her Sunni boyfriend, it's perfectly acceptable to ambush her, stone her to the ground, and crush her head with a rock, but it's not appropriate to let anyone see her uncovered legs while she's being butchered by her neighbors. Hence why they had to halt the stoning every once in a while, so that concerned villagers could cover her legs with a jacket. How very proper of them. Then, of course, the kids who filmed the entire incident with their CELLPHONES, upload it to the internet. And yes...I know this comment will be completely overlooked. I accept it.

It started off, where I went to this house, which was apparently mine, and a cousin of mine that I haven't seen in years is there, eating pie. In fact, there are like, half a dozen different pies sitting on the kitchen counter, and she and my little brother are just eating away. I say, "oh man! Is it Pi Day already?!" and dig in.
After eating many a pie, I decide that some toast would be better. So I pop some bread into the toaster, grab some jam, and one of those containers of some fat free butter. Once the toast pops up, I start applying the butter, and because the container is almost empty, I have to scrape the sides to get enough to put on my toast. Suddenly, my dream cuts to this dark bedroom, and you see this container of butter with a wig on (ok, I don't know if it was a wig, but it had long flowing hair...), and she's tossing and turning and making risque noises, then wakes up. This human man laying next to her, who's maybe in his early 60's, wakes up and turns on a light. He asks "Honey, are you alright?" And the fat free butter container answers "Y-yes... fine." Then I wake up.
describing a really... really odd dream i had.
