I'm surprised you turned out normal! That kind of movie could haunt you for all your childhood years!! When I was very young (not sure of the age) I saw a black and white flick called "The BLOB"on TV. I was very scared for months and it haunted me. It was a low budget B-movie made back in the 50's but it still was scary at the time. www.imdb.com/title/tt0051418/

Believe it or not, the villains that scared the hell out of me when I was little are the ones I love the most.
The Disney Snow White Queen (She scared me the most. I didn't watch the movie till I was 8 years old. I didn't ride the ride till age 9 or 10. In fact when my dad read the book to me, he wouldn't want to use the word "kill.") Maleficent (Didn't watch the movie until age 9) Jafar (ditto, age 6) Ursula (I don't remember when i started watching it) Cruella De Vil (same) Wicked Witch of the West (pretty much 'nuff said)

The Clown from "It." I was 6. I walked into the family room whilst my daddy was watching it.
Ursula terrified me.

I was so easily freaked out as a kid, I hardly remember what things scared me exactly. Most villians didn't scare me though, I always liked the bad guy/girl and knew they were important to the story. It was always the ghost stories and creepy stuff that got me. Says a lot, don't you you think? But a couple I can remember are: The Horned King (The Black Couldron): Yeah, scariest looking Disney villian. Ironicly, that's one of my favorite Disney movies now. Sid (Toy Story): Okay, that kid was disturbing, I knew that then, and I know that now. Andre Linoge (Steven King's Storm of The Century): My parents watched this stupid movie when I was five or six years, and I decided to join them. Bad idea. Only after I watched The Langoliers (yes, I was scared of The Langoliers, laugh it up) and parts of Rose Red did I realize that Steven King's work was not for me. Villains that Freaked Out People I Know: The Evil Queen (Snow White): My younger brother was terrified of her, we had to fast forward through all her scenes if he was watching it. The Wicked Witch of The West (The Wizard of Oz): My mother, as a child, would run out of the room if she came on TV.

The Wicked Witch of The West (The Wizard of Oz): My mother, as a child, would run out of the room if she came on TV. That's wierd. The witch I liked, only she needed a different color smoke. I was (and still am) terrified of Dorothy. You should never have a 16 year old play the part of a 7 year old. It's just bad.

The only time I really freaked was when I was a child and that was whenver aliens came on TV...and I mean serious freak mode. I remember it all began with this one night when my parents were watching some movie where a little boy was kicking a football in his garden and he runs through a bush where he encounters an alien, who ofcourse abducts him and whatever... But I was so freaked by the alien I told my parents in a rather disturbed tone that I'm going to bed....I did not sleep. Instead I went to back to my parents about an hour later crying! (I think I was eight). Ironic that I'm a star wars fan now huh?

I must have been the oddest child ever.
I was never frightened by the villains, in fact, quite a lot of the time they were my favourite characters.
The Wicked Witch of the West has always been my favourite villain(ess) and once I read Wicked I drove everyone out of their minds rambling on about it. When I was six and I watched The Wizard of Oz with my friends they would all run out of the room whenever she was on screen and it was my job to call them back in when she had left.

I was never scared of villains growing up. I was brought up not to be scared of things, but give them respect for the power they wield.
The closest to fear I ever had was Freddy Krueger (in the original "NMoES"), I was 8 or 9 and wouldn't go to sleep without making sure I knew where my guns and knives were (hey, I may have been young, but I was always prepared).
And Hannibal Lecter intrigued me more than anything. The idea that someone could possibly cannibalize just boggled my mind (and still does to some extent). I don't think I saw SotL until I was 10 or 11 though.
And Dracko, "The Blob" was teh awesomeness. I didn't get a chance to see it until I was 16 though, so the fear factor was long gone by then for me.
