RP seems to roundly be the worst episode of the series, but I'll still watch it when it's on (I LOVE Kim's hair in that one scene!)

Royal Pain isn't bad at all, I mean, it isn't 'Stop Team Go' strong, but it wasn't 'Lilo & Stitch crossover' terrible either.

IMO there's NO such thing as bad KP.
Some are just better than others. Every eppie has at least ONE stand-alone quality or bit that I really dig.
Alles GOOT!

Royal Pain got me this *hairthin* close to punching my television set. The only saving grace was Kim's ponytail. I'm finding that style of her hair's more and more attractive everytime I see it done.
1/5 overall for me on Royal Pain.

Awww, but I love it ;D It's a cute ep. One of the first I saw. And Prince Wally, though annoying, was hawt! He was in a frickin' robe! *mental orgasm*
I guess it's a 4/5 for me. Or in this case: "It's really not bad at all"

It's bad, but bad KP is better than good TSR.
You know it's true.

Why not tell it like it is: change the channel bad.
Wow. That was easy.

I can't really watch most of that episode, then again I find I really can't watch most of the first season.

Royal Pain is not my least favourite episode. My least favourite episode is Vir-Tu-Ron. However, its still better than most of the rubbish on TV anyway!
I'll go with option 5.

Well, the most annoying is Ron acting completely out of character in that episode when he just abandons Kim for no reason.

It's bad, but better than watching some chick barge in on her friends because she thinks something bad is about to happen, and that bad thing turns out to be her. Oh, wait. That's just her. So yeah, "better than That's So Raven"

I never hated it at all...it was never my favorite, but I never understood why it was so unliked. Well, the most annoying is Ron acting completely out of character in that episode when he just abandons Kim for no reason. I thought that part was funny. I like how Ron was just totally a traitor. With K/R stuff these days TPTB are probably too afraid to upset...It's a shame, that stuff was funny to me >.>

I guess it's up to me to point out that the Emperor has no clothes.... *sigh*
I didn't hate this episode. It's not my favorite, but it wasn't as bad as people are suggesting. And as many have pointed out, it's still watchable. Not many "worst" episodes can claim that.
Reading this thread, and similar comments in others, it seems a lot of people are hating on this ep because of a) Prince Wally and b) Ron's behavior. While I admit that I found Wally to be an annoying little prick, I found the characters' reactions to him to be quite amusing (Mrs. Dr. Possible in particular). The episode was a parody of the whole "Prince goes to live with commoners" cliche in which the Prince learns that there may be more to common life than he previously thought, and gives up his royal title in favor of democracy. However, the writers put a twist on it: Wally doesn't really learn anything. He's still the same pompous blowhard he was at the beginning of the ep. That seems to be why so many people hate him, but I for one found the irony to be quite delicious. Chalk up one more thing Kim can't do: change who people are. It was a very good lesson that a lot of people unfortunately seem to have missed.
As for Ron, I don't know why people seem to think he was OOC. To me that was perfectly in-character for him, since he was just friends with Kim at that time. Sometimes Ron just gets carried away with things. He always comes back to Kim in the end. I think you guys are just letting the fact that these two are a couple now distract you from the fact that what Ron did was no worse than what Kim did when she locked Ron in the janitor's closet in "Crush." They weren't a couple then, so they could afford to hang out with other people more often. If Ron were to do that NOW, yes, it would be OOC. But back then Kim and Ron's relationship was still non-exclusive enough to allow for little indiscrepancies like that.
And that's why this episode doesn't suck.

I'll butcher an old FDR quote for the sake of a joke:
"We have nothing to fear hate but fear hate itself."
