Dear Guys: In an upcoming fourth season episode, it seems that Ron is concerned about Yori finding out that he and Kim are now an item. But when she find outs, it doesn't really bother her, and that DOES bother Ron. Now, that's in the first few minutes of the episode. Now, if it was really up to us. . . . Do you think that should be the plot of the episode---that Ron has to get used to the idea that Yori has gone on with her life?. . . . or Later on, it's revealed that it really DOES bother her, and she wants to do something about it. . . (don't know exactly what) ..or on another twist--later on, just pretending to be bothered by Ron dating Kim, because he's made such a fool out of himself by being bothered by her non-botheredness. I think it would totally surprise the viewer (or fan) if the well-mannered and quiet Yori was upset by the turn of events. How do you think Yori should respond in that episode? JThree carolyn@dia.net It would be more in character for Yori to take the news of Ron and Kim dating well and be genuinely happy for them. Ron expecting Yori to be upset about it and getting upset himself when she's not heartbroken is a funny and interesting way to handle that sitch. As much as I love Ron, he should realize not all girls cry, get upset, or go all "Fatal Attraction" over guys they can't have. Some girls smile, say "that's great and I'm really happy for you" sincerely and move on. That it would be "so not the drama" for Yori actually makes her a more interesting character to me.

I think it's brilliant! Ron expects Yori to go all jeal like Kim did in "Gorilla Fist," maybe more so, because it would based on a real sitch rather than supposition, and because he probably perceives Yori as similar to Kim. "Are all girls like this, or just the ones I know?" he said about Zita, when she was rather Kimlike in the virtual realm of Everlot.
But Yori's not Kimlike at all in one way: her studies under Sensei have made her rather Zenlike. What will be, will be. On the other hand, Ron and Kim are both bundles of overexpressed personality. And Ron, in particular, is not going to understand a Zenlike reaction, at least not at first. He will understand this later, I predict, based on the Zenlike qualities he sometimes shows.
Whether or not Yori is actually disappointed in someway, underneath what she's revealing, I can't predict at this time. Either way could be in character.

"Are all girls like this, or just the ones I know?" he said about Zita, when she was rather Kimlike in the virtual realm of Everlot. There is a similarity in the girls he seems to find attractive isn't there? Ron did think Kim was bottling up "Mankey pain" when Josh and Tara hooked up. It would make sense that he'd assume that Yori would feel bad too. Yes, Ron is Zen in his own way and hopefully in the end he would come around and get over himself. It's more his ego than anything else that would make him think Yori would be really broken up about him and Kim getting together. I'm sure he'll be a big baby about it at least for the first two acts, with Kim and Yori sharing annoyed looks. Actually, now that I think of it, what would be more Ron-ish is that no matter what Yori says, he still thinks she's not over him and is just masking the pain. Fangirl that I am, I almost forgot how flawed he can be. Whether or not Yori is actually disappointed in someway, underneath what she's revealing, I can't predict at this time. Either way could be in character. I don't know about that. Yori and Ron don't have the kind of long term history Kim and Ron have. It's not as if Yori and Ron were actually in a relationship. She crushed on him and he didn't notice until it was too late. Maybe it would hurt a little, but to continue to carry a torch for someone who didn't pick up on her signals at all doesn't seem like something Yori would do. I would think it very flaky and OOC if she did. Not saying she would no longer be fond of him, just not crushing on him anymore. Speculation is fun, but KP's writers rarely disappoint me. I'm looking forward to seeing this ep.

Oooh. Great thoughts, Grace. It would be really cool if it went down the way you said.

Wow. great thread, Im glad i stumbled upon this. I sort of have my own speculation that yori will take the news zenlike but at the very end of the episode she might make it known maybe not to ron or kim but to herself that "Darn I could have had Ron". But i dont expect her to cry or be upset or anything.
