While I never really followed the commander as much as I have others around here, I'm shocked at the news myself. I remember when I first came here and saw his stuff among the really good pics in the fan-art section, and I remember seeing him post around a few times and thinking he was a cool guy. My prayers and sympathies go out to his family and friends both there and here. RIP Commander

I'm really speechless. I never expected such a fate would bestow upon him. I always thought he was busy with something. I'm really, really speechless. R.I.P Argus, and my condolences go to your friends and family.

I didn't know him much, but that's horrible. My thoughts are with his family, I'll pray for them.

After spending the last 24 hours in almost a state of shock it finally sunk in not to long ago. I'm not ashamed to admit I've wept a fair few tears for him. Argus brought a lot of joy to those of us who were lucky enough to speak to him frequently, both here and via Instant Messenger. He was always humorous and kind, even when his bad foot was acting up or he was cranky from having to work late night shifts. I can't believe he's gone. Knowing how much he liked biking it's almost unfathomable that he'd die in in a biking accident. Yet he did. It seems like no one's to blame for this seemingly freak accident, but I can't help but wonder if he'd still be alive and posting if he'd just been ten seconds later. Argus was a big part of RS.net for me, ever since I joined back in late 2006, and It'll never be the same now that he's gone. I don't think I'll ever forget him.
I really needed to get that off my chest.
I miss you Argus, and I won't forget the fun we had.

I can't believe this I simply cannot believe that such a prominent member of our forum...died...and we didn't know about it until five months later. It brings a tear to my eye that we weren't informed sooner, to grieve when the family were grieving. And such a senseless way to go The person driving the car was 22. 22! That's close to the average age of most of the KP fans here. Which I find even more shocking. He was a wonderfully witty member, and a strong K/R shipper. But that didn't stop him humoring the slash shippers, me in particular. I remember all the times he made me laugh by saying something funny about me liking Ron or cracking a joke about what we'd do. I remember him for his fabulous fanart, his superior model making skills, his messy model-making worktop/computer desktop, his adorable beard [which he eventually shaved off and we had a good laugh in the WDYLL thread when he showed us ] and the dozens of userbars he made for members during the fourth season... He was a senior member of the fandom who'd been a KP fanatic from the very beginning [atleast, well before I joined the forum]. We didn't frequent the same circles, but he was someone I respected highly. If someone asked me to name 10 members from RS.net off the top of my head, he'd always make the list. That's how much I felt he was part of the board. I'm seriously considering printing off Fusion's old RS.net Emergency Slip - which tells whoever goes through my wallet after I'm out of action to contact this board and tell them what's happened. Rest in peace, Argus. You will not be forgotten

Also RD, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I think you got the brunt of the shock because you were actively searching for hiim My heart goes out to you, too. I want to visit his grave if I ever go to NC, and pay my respects.

Something I always liked about his art was how it looked different from pretty much all the other KP fan-artists. It wasn't a recreation of art that looked just like the show or in some kind of anime style, it was really unique. When I see one of his pieces I always know who drew it I'm seriously considering printing off Fusion's old RS.net Emergency Slip - which tells whoever goes through my wallet after I'm out of action to contact this board and tell them what's happened. I too was reminded of this. Though it was kinda a joke when I made it, stuff like this makes me think. I'm pretty sure that my parents know about the people I've met online [especially the ones I've met in person] and would know to inform people if something happened. I just hope that the others I've met online also have a way of letting people know if something happened

He was a senior member of the fandom who'd been a KP fanatic from the very beginning [atleast, well before I joined the forum]. Rest in peace, Argus. You will not be forgotten Commander Argus death is a GIGANTIC loss in the KP Fandom. I don't think I or anyone else can stress that enough. It will be felt forever at every place he frequented online. Deviantart, Fanfictionnet, Here, and etc. Yes. That is a small thing in this game called life but it's true as well. He helped me out when i was going off the deep end about speculation about S4 and Kim/Ron and he would always reassure with a bunch of facts i allready knew but just to hear it come from him made me feel a lot better. Commander and Mr. Dr. P have been really helpfull to me as well as RD. So it is a big loss.

How horrible . . . just earlier this week I found out another one of my deviantArt friends passed away in November, and now I find out Commander Argus passed away in December. I drew a pic for him a while back, one of his characters together with one of mine. I thought maybe I should post it again. Seemed like such a nice guy, and I liked his artwork a lot. He'll be missed.

Rest in peace, Argus. I'm going to miss all your artwork, your fanfictions and wonderful characters, but most of all I'm going to miss you,

Never knew the guy so much, but he always seemed friendly. And these news do sadden me... Minnesotamutt did this as a tribute to him. I though, when I found it, I should share it with everyone. Rest in peace, Argus. You'll be remembered...

Thank you SO much for sharing that, Alex!
I have a feeling wherever Nelson is, he'd be touched! That is such a beautiful picture, and the light in the sky almost made me tear up. I'd be honoured to get something like that as a tribute. One can only hope he's found Middleton up in heaven and he's having KP adventures of his own.

Haven't been here for the past week-ish, but I did check the site once on Wednesday, and beheld this announcement.
So I never spoke to Argus, from what I can remember. But I do remember, when I was new to the fandom, seeing his fanfics among the first that I had seen. I was not aware until recently of his artistic abilities.
This has hit me hard, and I'm not sure why exactly, since as I said, I cannot recall even speaking to Argus. I suppose that it is times like these that you come to realize that you might not make it through the day you're currently living in. As a result, it's made me appreciate life and what I have a whole lot more.
At this point, two things cross my mind: 1) I think of his family and really hope that they are at least coping with this tragedy better than they had been four and a half months ago when the accident occurred. I understand that nothing can ever replace the emptiness that the death of a person close to you creates, but I hope that they've at least found ways to get on with their lives. And 2) I REALLY hope that his death was painless... you know, killed instantly and the like. I hope he didn't feel any pain through this. It would make me feel even worse.
I highly regret not knowing him more, though if I had, this probably would have been harder to deal with. I suppose I can find solace knowing he's in a better place now, where pain is no longer a factor of life. I hope to perhaps meet him when my time here is up as well.

Aw man, that is terrible news! RIP Commander Argus, may you rest in peace. didn´t know much about him, and I think we've never talk or had nothing more than a couple of words but I think I remember that he did most of the few fanfics I had read about KP, and I liked them a lot, It´s always sad to know someone who post, discuss and chats sharing his passion about what he likes with all passes away.

I've wondered what would happen to/about me here if I just suddenly passed on...
I didn't know Commander Argus well, but I'm so sorry for his loss. I'll pray for his friends and family.
