Okay, I must be one of the few people who actually has a list of fictional characters I hate so much that I wish I could harm them or something to the effect. Anyways, I figure we could all rant about what fictional characters we hate a lot and why we hate them. You can include KP characters even though this is general conversation thread/ For me, my top five list is starts off in Georgia in the 1860s... Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind: She remains the only main character that I hate so much. It's funny because I love the movie and the book. My reasoning why I hate her. The book is 1037 pages long, the movie is almost 4 hours long. The book covers 12 years of Scarlett's life, from age 16 to 28. In that entire time, she spends her time hating the one woman (other than her mother) who didn't hate her and think bad of her, her sister in law from her first marriage to Charlie Hamilton, Melanie Wilkes, who is married to Ashley Wilkes, whom Scarlett thought she loved. In the end, she realizes she doesn't really love Ashley, but by the time she realizes that, Melanie is dead, and her third husband (whom loved her so much and she loved him) has left her with the infamous line, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a darn." She doesn't appreciate those who love her and she doesn't change at all, no matter what happens. The next one, is Bonnie Rockwaller, of KP. I hate her because, well, anybody who's ever watched the show should know. Look at what we just watched last night (Homecoming Upset). That gives anybody reason enough. She is basically Scarlett O'Hara if she was alive today. The third one is Leo Markus from Will & Grace I actually have no reason to hate him except for the fact that he cheats on Grace, and he is the reason why Grace and Will's friendship was nearly destroyed. For a long time, the fourth person were the Stoppables, Mr. and Mrs. but the only reason I hated them was because I didn't like them and "This was our way of telling you." And them not paying enough attention to Ron. The top five is Dolores Umbridge, from Harry Potter. I hate her so much that I literally want to be the one to cause her bodily harm. Everything she done in books 5 and 7 were so racist, so intolerant, so hateful of anybody who was different. I mean, she has the audacity to call centaurs "half-breeds" and think Muggleborn wizards steal magic. She's no Death Eater, but she certainly is very very close to it. The way she treated Harry Potter was awful and I just wish I could harm her. Other fictional characters that are part of the list: Cruella De Vil I'm a staunch dog lover and what she wants to do to dogs makes me want to murder her. She is the few Disney villains who scare the crap out of me. Jar Jar Binks I just don't like him. He's annoying. Plus, he's the reason that the Emperor takes over. I'm sure my list goes longer, but I'll continue on later.

i was gonna say jar jar:p as for Umbridge, i hate her cause she's such a 1 dimensional character. her whole point was to be hated, and it was kinda stupid, and Lazy writing in an otherwise perfect series of books. I've always hated Yuffie from FFVII. The game was amazing, and everyone had great back stories and stuff. Yuffie was useless, in battle, in the story, and actually made things harder from you. Stole your materia, and still let back in. Crappy sidequest, a terrible limit break, and just a b*tch. The worst thing is that when the POS Dirge of Cerberus came out, it was 2 of the worst characters in the game that was Vincent's Support. NO ONE liked Yuffie or Cait Sith, so those are the 2 that give him supprt. Why No Cloud, Barret or Tifa? Stupid Square.... OH... And Tingle From Zelda... Nuff said

First place with the Gruesome Gold is a tie between Dolores Umbridge and Bonnie Rockwaller. Second place with the Stinky Silver is Paulina. She's not evil, but being a shallow b***** is actually worse, IMO. Third place with the Bile-covered Bronze is... Soran from Star Trek: Generations. He KILLED Kirk. 'Nuff said.

Goldie from Gunsmith Cats. Back in her first story arc, there was the moment when Rally met her newest slave Mary-Ann, and when Rally tried to break the news that her father was dead, Mary-Ann chimed in "I did that," and explained how 'Mistress Goldie' had shown her that her father was possesed by a demon, and helped her free his soul to go to heaven by cutting his throat.
And of course Spanda from One Piece.

Chris Thorndyke (Sonic X) As a Sonic fan you'd think I'd watch Sonic X, but I don't I would if they got rid of this...thing. Not only is his part of the story useless and uninteresting, but he is the most annoying character in the entire franchise, past and present. He's so attached to Sonic that you'd think they were siamese twins. If he's not with Sonic at all times, he break down and start crying because "he misses him". He stopped Sonic from going home because he "would miss him too much". This kid needs a punch in the face, a kick in the groin, and a shouting in his ear to GROW UP.
Jaypaw (Warriors) He's just an obnoxious brat. Being blind is a big disability, so naturally people will pity him for it. But he assumes he has the right to yell in the faces of his superiors for pitying his blindness because "he's just a good as any cat!". Yet, he has never once every said he doesn't want pity, he barely speaks at all to anybody other than his siblings and Leafpool, and appears as if he's struggling with many things. Even though he is perfectly fine, there's no way of telling to the others, so they try to help him. He also dissed and was angry at Brightheart for being his first mentor - because she had a slight disability, much less worse than his own. I have NEVER been this frustrated with a fictional character before. Hopefully he'll wise up when he becomes a medicine cat.

I cant find any pictures, but "Ms. Herbig, in her big brown eyes" from Dead Like Me. Shes so freakin annoying, which adds a clever touch to whole show "Dead Like Me", one of my favorite shows. ;D Here she is: ;D I don't hate her, I just feel sorry for her. It's true that she's very annoying, though. That's her entire purpose in the series. She's one of the more original characters I've seen in a TV show lately, however; she's got so many weird quirks. She seems to be very conservative, but at the same time she's got a disturbing thing for blurting out details of her own personal life, she did coke in the eighties, she's got that weird home cleaning web cam thing going, she's got that intense relationship with her cat, she's plain insane and very entertaining. But I would really, really hate to know her. Let's see...who do I hate...hmmm...I must add that 'hate' really is a very strong word, but okay... I hated Angel when he was in Buffy. Surprisingly enough, however, I didn't hate him when he was in Angel. Suddenly he was much less annoying. It seemed like Cordelia was good for him. I hated the bad guy in season 7 of Buffy, whatever his name was. The insane, misogynist priest guy. It was clear that, unlike with the rest of the series' villains, his entire character was made up to inspire hate. I don't hate Rufus himself, but I hate the fact that valuable screen time is eaten up by him often simply repeating what Ron says. It's not cute, it's just stealing valuable seconds from an episode that lasts...what, 20 minutes? I don't like the tweebs. I wince whenever they come onscreen. I don't like bratty kids in general, and certainly not ones that spout annoying, meaningless catch-phrases far too often. Hmm...now I can't think of anything else. I'll have to get back to you.

Y'know, I have a problem with topics like this. Granted I've got a few character's that I may have at one point said "I can't stand this punk!" or something to that effect. But I've grown just a tad since then. One thing that I've learned from this is that while there may be one character that may be hated by one person, that same character will be revered by another person. It's always this fact that makes me to look for any redeeming qualities a hated character has. It's a hard process, but you tend to find out more about a character than you ever thought possible.
I know this doesn't really contribute to anything towards this thread. But I do want to at least get that point off of my chest. And to also say that it's been a good long while to make me even "hate" a character. If a character is created for the sole purpose being hated, then I have to say that is the most shallow, one dimensional move a artist/creator could ever do.

Yeah, this is why I said 'hate' really was a rather strong word.
I generally don't like hate threads or hate sites.
'Don't like' is a little better.

Dolores Umbridge is the most hateable character I know! What a b*tch!!! Also Draco Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. Anakin Skywalker from the new Star Wars, what a whiny brat he was! Q from Star Trek... I mean sometimes he was all right but usually I just had the urge to kill him. I´m sure there are more but I can´t think of them at the moment.

Well, I couldn't think of a better word than "hate" but, you can say don't like as well, I don't care. But, this isn't a hate thread because it's about fictional characters who don't exist anywhere but imagination. I just wanted to make a thread to find out what characters we dislike a lot. Sheesh.
Haha. Dolores Umbridge is so hated. But, then again, she deserves it. I'd commit fictional character murder if I could.
I also dislike/hate Ruth DeWitt Bukater, Caledon Hockley, and Spicer Lovejoy in Titanic. I feel sorry for Ruth because her daughter "dies" so she thinks and she's left with nothing but as far as I'm concerned she deserved it, for treating her daughter the way she treated her. Spicer Lovejoy, because he's one of those characters who you just can't stand. And Cal, for the way he treated Rose. Thank God Rose made it off the boat with a diamond.

Pokemon: Gotta Kill Em All! What's wrong with Pokemon? The old games are great. I played Pokemon Red for 4 straight hours the other night. They're fine examples of RPG games.
