I have noticed the room colors in Monty's castle have an interesting warm/cool contrast (though they are separated) varying from the dark blue and cool colors, to warm colors, such as in his secret dojo lair, and even the warm tones still feel a bit cool, because they aren't so intense. There's also a red room revealed in 'Adventures in Rufus-Sitting' (half length episode, season 2). The colors in this room weren't just pure red, but also orange and yellow at their most intense strength. Besides being my favorite contrast, the warm/cool contrast fits Monty's personality perfectly. Cold, gloomy, dark and quiet to short-fused, energetic, high-tempered and insane when things are heating up. The contrast is super-expressive and effective....and quite pretty. Another example where it's used is in the Disney movie 'Aladdin' (I'm thinking of the first one now!).
Yup, warm vs. cool is my favorite contrast.

I never really paid that much attention to the rooms in his castle, but now that you mention it, Hanna, you do have a point. There are many different kinds of rooms in there.
I'll have to make myself a collection of screenshots of every room that's shown in the series. It would make some good reference material for fanfiction and art later.

Hanna said I could post my future Monty art in this thread, so here we go. I was planning to wait until I have more than one done, but it looks like I won't be having much time for drawing in the future. Yeah, the background is terrible. I got lazy with it.

Man, I'm laughing my head off right now XD That's absolutely hilarous - I could totally see Amy dooing something like that to poor Monty...a fate worse than death, indeed. ...he DOES go well with the flowers though ;D Good job with Shego and DNAmy too. I love the details like the writing on the basement and the birdies...with...antlers...? Oh, well. It's DNAmy we're talking about, after all

Now that the MF fandom has got new members, and seeing all your great artwork, I'm more than willing to share the thread with all he fans of MF. It's open for everyone!
Funny and well-drawn as always, Vampirenaomi. Towel rack or just placed among her collection of cuddlebuddies wouldn't make very humorous ideas. I can totally see Amy using him as a lawn ornament, if she isn't afraid the weather will destroy his features. I hope she cleans him for the droppings the birds may leave...! ''Cursed'' by power and put to rest in a state of stone, trapped with DNAmy- unable to escape or express anything, and now he isn't even scary to the birds! Good use of Shego, being the important sarcastic contrast of the humorous dialogue.

Here's one of my pics: This is my first coloured drawing of MF. I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a picture of it(that's why it's so "dark").

Thanks for the comments. Drawing Shego was a lot more fun than I expected. Great picture, Alemnesh! His position looks very natural and I like the grimace on his face, too. Whatever he's looking at is really annoying him. ;D Oh for the love of... I want to use a different, completely harmless way of saying "annoying" but these boards keep cencoring it. Sheesh.

Thanks for the comment, Maria(that's your real name, am I right?). I tried to do the best I could on this one. I looked at a pic that I found on the internet when I made it. But it's cool that you like it=)

Here's a new illustation from Pengychan's fanfic, '' Spirit of Snow''. Previous illustrations: ronstoppable.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=fanart&action=display&thread=4657&page=14Chapter: 27 Description:Yuki silently visits Monty, and is not quite sure if she should give up on him, after what he did to her. Monty awakens, but can't quite tell reality from dream, as he is drugged due to troubled sleep. *Yuki's sitting-on-floor pose isn't quite correct. Same with Monty's outstretched arm. I just can't teach myself HOW to do it right. I have stated before that I have issues with poses, angles, foreshortnings and anatomy. Also, I'm making a picture clip video of these illustrations. Pengy sent me ''Dreamcatcher'' by Secret Garden, an emotional instrumental song of which bits of lyrics are quoted in one of the chapters. The song is currently used for temporarily background music. Do you who have read the fanfic have a better idea for which song that could fit the atmosphere, or the story in general? Thank you.

Wow, Hanna, I love it! Thank you so much! *hugs* I love both poses and the angle (honesly, I cannot see anything wrong in the pic ^^), and Monty's expression is just...man, I have no words to describe it, it's both heart-wrenching and adorable. The poor guy definitely needs a hug. I love how you made his eyes, they looks just as glazed as I imagined - how can you do that? XD I also love how you used the light in this pic. It makes the whole situation look somehow surreal, and it's just perfect, considering how dazed Monty's mind is in that scene. Again, thank you so much for sharing your lovely artwork And, are you really going to make a clip video with your art? Seems a great idea! ;D I'm glad you liked that song, BTW. I think it would be perfect, moslty because I'm often listening to it while writing, re-reading some scenes or just watching your art ^^"

Wow, that's amazing! I think this is the best pic of Yuki so far; she looks very beautiful and troubled in this picture. Monkey Fist is brilliant as well, and I just love the dazzled expression on his face. Oh, and his hands and feet. They're insanely difficult to draw, but you get them right every time.
When I was reading that chapter in "Spirit of Snow", I instantly thought that this scene was made for an illustration. I'm glad to see you drew this.

Another '' Spirit of Snow''-illustration. Chapter: 9 Description: one word- CRACK! Monty grumbles about his aching neck, and Yuki demonstrates how to heal it. I've never experienced a similar situation myself, but according to author Pengy, it does NOT hurt, it's just shocking, and the loud crack can make anyone think the body part just got broken. I'm not sure if I got the poses right- this picture was a challenge to do, mostly because of the interaction, and yeah...the poses.

Haha! ;D That is now my favourite of all the SoS illustrations! Monty's expression is simply priceless. I can't stop laughing when I look at him! Brilliant, brilliant work.
And yeah, it doesn't hurt. I crack my neck like that daily, and it's no problem, but other people don't like listening to it.

That's awersome, Hanna! I just LOVE Monty's expression - I can't help but snicker every time I look at it. He really freaked out, didn't he? ;D If my expression was even remotely like his when the same thing happened to me, I can see why my friends just won't let me forget the accident that easily XD I think the interaction between them came off really well too - the contrast between their expressions is priceless XD Thanks a lot for drawing this! *hugs* Yup, so do I - people always get disturbed when they hear me cracking my back or knuckles Still, hearing it about four times louder can be shocking...especially when it is somebody else who had his/her hands on you neck. I can tell

SpicyWeasel presentsThis two-panel comic strip is based one of Monty's quotes from ' The Full Monkey': "Chippy! What have I told you about on-the-job-snacking?'' To interpret the quote, I don't think Monty BROUGHT with him snack food for his monkeys. A ninja must not leave tracks or clues. Plus, eating too much could inhibit motion and agility. I can picture Chippy hiding several bananas under his ninja garb, eating them along the way. Random fun.
