I have toagree with all the statements about guys being afraid of women. Face it guys, girls and women are becoming more independent and more capable of doing things better than us. What makes you special to them is that you accept them for who they are and are not threatened by them being successful. That is what clicks in Kim's mind. She realizes that Ron loves her for the butt-kicking girl that she is. She fully accepts this and returns the favor because she also realizes that she would have Ron no other way. reminds me of the time when Ron asks "Are all girls like this or just the ones I know?"

All this talk about the tendencies of men and women... I'll say this. Speaking as a guy, I would still (this is all hypothetical mind you, I'm about to make a point) be interested in Kim, regardless of her skills. Maybe I'm different here, but I wouldn't be intimidated by her skills. Of course, I'd still be irritated that she can fight better than me, so I'd end up practicing every martial art I could until I was the the best. It's a matter of pride (security) that's all. I fully admit that the idea of being protected by my girlfriend is frustrating just to think about. Let me put it this way. Even if I did get together with someone like Kim, it doesn't mean it would last. Lucky for her Ron isn't like most guys is this particular sense. Something I've noticed about friendships that become relationships is that men and women often take a completely different approach to it. It's been mentioned a couple of times on this topic. Men seem to end up falling for a girl that they are friends with (and mind you, we often have a hard time being just friends with women as it is. It depends on the person), but women often seem bored or irritated at the idea. Of course I've seen a lot of things that seem to bore or irritate women, but that's not the point. Anyway, I submit the idea that it's impossible for men and women to understand each other. So it's a blessing we get together at all. The second part is a joke of course. By the way, AGHorizon, I appreciate the sympathy, but I wasn't complaining. ;D Just sharing my tales.

Well it does not happen okey.... wow, you're a pessimist. go look it up. That made me laugh in insane amount, sorry! On another note, this thread makes me feel lonely. My oldest friend (who is female, and I have feelings for) visited our school again yesterday, and I jsut wanted to explode. She lives 200 miles away now .

200 miles, when we both have seperate lives in our different towns...when I know that I don't love her (apart from as a friend)...when I'm 17 years old. Nah, I'll pass on that one. I'm not that hung up on it.
