Fry and Leela, there's some movement toward romance-- Fry's made up his mind more and more solidly through seasons 3 and 4, but Leela's at most ambiguously persuaded by the finale, "The devil's hands are idle playthings." It's strange that a show with a tone as satyrical and harsh as Futurama has so many strangely tender moments. Right, and I shouldn't forget the show's second couple, Kif and Amy. There was that episode "A Flight to Remember" that was pretty shippy. BBxRae isn't a canon couple, the people who made it even said so. StarxRob and BBxTerra are two that are. This doesn't mean I dislike BBxRae though.

Fav Cartoon Couples outside KP?
Danny/Sam from Danny Phantom Beastboy/Raven from Teen Titans Robin/Starfire from Teen Titans Fillmore/Ingrid from the highly underrated show Fillmore! Ash/Misty from Pokemon.... yeah, I know it's both stupid and dead, but my cousins still watch it and I watched the second movie with them, and their moments were cute. TJ/Spinelli from Recess Aang/Katarra from Avatar: The Last Airbender Brad/Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot Jimmy/Cindy and Sheen/Libby from Jimmy Neutron Cosmo/Wanda from Fairly Oddparents... the song they sang during School's Out! was so sappy and made up for Cosmo's stupidity. Gohan/Videl from Dragonball Z Numbah 3/ Numbah 4 from Codename: Kids Next Door Numbah 2/ Numbah 5 from Codename: Kids Next Door Numbah 1/ Lizzie from Codename: Kids Next Door
That's all I can think of for now.

Ok guys.
Of all the shows, we've mentioned here, what shows do you think we could debate the shippiness of like we've been doing for K/R?
I don't know about a lot of current shows. Or if the other programs have have as much humor as KP, but what other programs would you love to debate shippy elements in?
(sniff, sniff). I still think Chip and Gadget can make it work.

It's interesting, the RR community has very diverse opinions on "The Great Triangle." There's Chip fans who support C+G, Chip fans who think's it's a horrible idea, Dale fans who think that he should get with Gadget, Dale fans who assert that Foxglove is a much better partner for said red-nosed chipmunk, and views all over the place. (Notwistanding the C+G Gadget fans and their "anti" counterparts, of course. ) OK, trying to thing of more cartoon paris...

What about the show Megas:XLR?
It's believed by fans of the show that there is a thing between Jamie & Kiva, and and that it may be growing on the series as well. Agree? Let me know if you think so.

One pair I've always shipped since I was a kid: Cover Girl and Shipwreck from GIJoe.
Cover Girl is a former model who wanted a new direction in life and joined the military. Shipwreck, an orphan, lied about his age, joined the navy. She can be sarcastic and *itchy. The key to Shipwreck has always been simple, write him like Popeye, play him like Jack Nicholson.
In Memories of Mara, Shipwreck falls in love with a Cobra agent who's been genetically altered to have gills (a play on a sailor falling in love with a mermaid). She can't breath out of water for very long, so in the end, they are separated. She doesn't want to live in a tank. She belongs to the ocean. Sadly for Shipwreck, Mara became one of those oneshot characters plenty of cartoons are known to create then forget about.
Then, in There's No Place Like Springfield, Cobra gives Shipwreck a false life, died his hair gray for effect, sit up this scenario where he had forgotten 15 years of his life, a wife (Mara), and even a daughter. Kind of similar to Drakken creating an ideal boy for Kim in So the Drama, but even more cruel. After the plot was revealed, Shipwreck rushed back to the house, hoping beyond hope the family was real. (Interesting tidbit about this episode. In the original broadcast, the synthoid daughter who's holding bazooka at that point, says to Shipwreck, "Daddy, you're such a drip." It was edited out in the re-runs.)
Shipwreck was a major star of the show. And in Memories of Mara and There's No Springfield, there are moments you really see the look of anguish on the poor guy's face. He's just a lonely sailor. I wanted him to be happy, and he seemed to enjoy flirting with Cover Girl, and she seemed become more receptive to it in The Germ, where she agreed to go out on a date with him (though, she did cover it up in the context of the mission). They were one, maybe two episodes from becoming a couple, but it never happened.
I still really hate what Cobra did to the guy in the Springfield 2 parter. Just low.

Or if the other programs have have as much humor as KP, but what other programs would you love to debate shippy elements in? Of those mentioned. I would have to say that Danny Phantom and Avatar: The Last Airbender would be the two best candidates for analysis similar to KP. However, in all honesty, while these are two of my favorite animations they are nowhere near as complex as KP. The ones that I am suprised no one has mentioned are Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi. Ranma is hard to find (look for the manga and not the anime it is infinitely better), but if you want to get into discussions of romance that is a major element of that story. Inuyasha is easier to find since it plays on Adult Swim, and the anime sticks pretty close to the manga. That has some serious shippyness going on. The other good show on adult swim for latent ship is Cowboy Bebop. But it is so nearly latent that it would be hard to analyze. Oh, and for Robin/Starfire shippers how could you forget the episode where Starfire gets upset at Robin for saying that she isn't his girlfriend. The writers hit you with a semi truck of shippyness in that episode. There is absolutely no doubt about the attraction between Robin and Starfire there.
