I don't know if you've seen the episode "Clean Slate" yet, but for some reason, there was a part of this episode that reminded me of your story. In your story, Shego was kinda like "wtf" about Drakken sleeping in and not being his usual "Bwahaha I have the perfect plan to take over the world today" self, and in the episode, when she came in, and he was still in his jammies and not already in his "take over the world mode", she was kinda like "wtf" about it for a moment. It kinda made me think was she worried he was giving up/losing his mind (more so than usual)... yeah. lol. Just thought I'd make the comparison. If it makes sense. xD;;

Aww, poor Shego.
*tries to hug Shego and gets thrown across the room*
I don't even want to imagine what it must be like to be so unable to sort out or express your feelings. I've always been very straight-forward and open about things like that-- probably too open sometimes.
I can really understand why she's so frustrated.

Shego is actually going to finish that bottle of wine, and lets just say she's a lot more emotional when tipsy.

I can't see Shego getting drunk very often, but I can see her going to bars/clubs and such and having a drink. She knows how to be responsible with alcohol. But in the situation she is in right now getting tipsy seems like a good idea. She'll regret it later though.

A bottle of wine isn't all that much, though, even when drinking it alone.
It all depends if she's had anything to eat or if she's tired, however.
If she hasn't slept or eaten properly beforehand, she could get pretty darn drunk off of one bottle of wine, actually.

Well it's late in the evening and she's spent the entire day in a car.

Oh and just so anyone doesn't get any false expectations (And no Ninnik, this isn't directed at you specifically. : I'm just going to say it now, there won't be any sex.

LOL! ...well, you can't expect me to bother finish reading it NOW, can you? Jeez. I mean, unless there's an orgy in the next chapter, you can just forget about it. ;D ...um, seriously...just wondering, though...why did you feel the need to say that? I don't know about anyone else, but I wasn't expecting any sex. Did you say it because of the whole Shego-getting-tipsy thing? Then it would perhaps be an expected cliché, yeah. The way you've written out the characters, however, I really don't expect anything like that to happen, and certainly not in the next chapter.

Shego getting tipsy was the main reason for me saying this yes. Another reason was that a lot of D/S fics end up having the two of them sleeping together at a point.

*cough*minewill*cough* What's wrong with that? It's not that common. Out of all the D/S fics I've read, they only slept together in...what, two of them? And it's not as if there's any D/S fics at Adult FF Net (why I even ever bother to check AFF out at all, even if just once every two months or something, escapes me; most of the stuff there is terrible). Of course, if you don't want to include it, that's fine, too. It's not always necessary. I certainly don't need to read it in this fic. I've never actually published a fic yet where the characters sleep together, partly because I am a bit squeamish about publishing stuff like that--not about reading it, though -- but mostly because I only ever write sex scenes into long fics where the relationship has been allowed to develop slowly between the characters, and I do have chapters with sex scenes on my PC, I've just never gotten around to publishing them because I haven't finished those long stories yet. ...but um, yeah...you don't want my life story. On a side note...why do I have the feeling that when I leave this board, I'll be remembered as the Norwegian chick who ranted about her rights to swear and to write about sex?

Well I've read quite a few D/S stories that has sex in them at some point actually. I have nothing against there being mention of sex in a fanfic, as long as it's not too much of it.
And they are going to end up sleeping together in my story arch as well, just not in the first one.
The sequel on the other hand, which takes place a while after "Taking a break"...

The sequel is basically about not only making their new relationship work but also about taking steps in it. It'll focus on their feelings about it rather than the physical act itself.

I like to include some details, though.

Hmmm, I do believe I'll include what happens before they enter the bedroom and the cuddling afterwards. Just not the act itself, which really isn't needed anyway.

True in some cases, but in my fics, unfortunately I have this tendency to mix important dialog and thoughts and feelings during/around the act itself, which makes it hard to cut the scene out completely. Besides, I tend to like those kinds of scenes if they're well-written. Then they're nice to read. They usually say a lot about the characters because they're basically at their most vulnerable in those kinds of situations. I do agree that my favourite stuff to read are the cuddle scenes, though. I'm a sap, I know.
