I never said it would have an alternative ending. I said it could have an extended ending.

I never said it would have an alternative ending. I said it could have an extended ending. No, we know that you didn't say that. It was released before that the DVD would have an alternate ending.

While Bonnie was saying that it would be worse for Kim to go with Ron because he is a loser, I think Kim saw it more as going with her 'just' best friend. Kim has both stuck up for Ron and agreed with Bonnie about Ron in the past. So I guess it really could go either way. My interpretation is that she was disapointed because she knew what going 'as friends' would mean socially. Not because it was Ron. Even if Bonnie was implying that Ron himself was more of a loser than the chess captian, I don't think that's the way Kim sees him, (at least not anymore) and I don't think that's the way she heard Bonnie either. I think she knew that's what Bonnie was getting at, which was a convienent scapegoat for her to worry about. Ah, all good points. It makes perfect sense too, since Ron and Kim are so close, it makes him an easy target as a scapegoat. Even if Kim had never thought about him that way before, Bonnie forced her to consider those possibilities by bringing it up. Thanks for the explanation. To Taechunsa: Ha ha, yeah, a Moko Takabisha would have been perfect. And you know what, you're right, Drakken must have met and studied with Genma at some point. If there's anyone out there who's perfected the fine art of begging for mercy, it's Genma Saotome. A pleasure to meet a fellow Ranma fan!

I agree that I would have liked to see Ron do more, but what I try to remember is that if Ron were to suddenly go Kung-fu on Erik, it might lose some fans that don't follow the show as closely. They might think 'uh, since when has he been able to do that?' We are well aware of his mystical monkey power-y-ness (?) but your average disney viewer is not going to recognize this, thus it would even for a cartoon, stretch some realistic limitations in the mind sets of others. So as much as I'd have liked those few extra minutes spread and spaced nicely through out the movie, I think with that evil time budget, this was a fantabulous movie. In other words, in my review for the movie is two thumbs up ;D ;D ;D

Ok Ok look you like the idea of a giant robot, Why not a giant Drakken? Drakken has set a trap for KP...He becomes a giant while Kim is fighting Shego. Kim beats Shego...She finds Eric again..But finds out its a trap..And now Drakken is like 50 or 60 feet tall...Ron finds out and comes to save Kim from giant Drakken who is crushing poor KP. He saves the day...Kim and Ron fall in love. [laughs] So do Drakken and Shego. My little sister is making this into a story. Don't tell me you don't like that idea. when you like the giant robot idea. Puurrrlease Giant robot are not that fun, they are old.

Like most people, I too was disappointed in the final fight scene. But there are a few things to consider.
1. The show is Kim Possible. Kim is supposed to be the main character. Not Ron, even though Ron has more fan potential.
2. The fight scene is short for two reasons. One is so that STD can be later shown in three separate episodes. And second, they were trying to keep KP in G-rated mode. An extended fight scene would have pushed it to a PG rating. There is some controversy already about STD and it's G rating.
3. STD is made in such a way that even those who have never seen Kim Possible can watch STD and it still make sense. Explaining Ron's mystical monkey kung fu is a bit confusing to newbies. Instead, anyone can watch Ron and see he has some fighting potential.
4. Kim's new suit gives her more strength, speed, and power. It also shows she capable of taking care of herself.
5. Ron's mystical monkey power should not be used as a Deux Ex Machina for every sitch. It would have been cool to see Ron tap that power for all it was worth, but Ron has a pure heart. He did not go with Kim to the Bueno Nacho headquarters for revenge. He went to see that justice was done.
6. We didn't see Ron's reaction when Kim got shocked by Eric. But how would have Kim reacted seeing Ron get pummled by Eric? Perhaps she glanced over from her fight with Shego to see him get hit. Which leads me to point number seven.
7. Knowing that Eric is a stythdrone, the few hits that Ron took from him would have killed a normal person. Kim might have seen Ron get thrown into the brick wall and realize that Ron is far superior on the food chain than anybody else. Let's say the same thing happened to Brick Flag. Game over.
8. Ron is not the only one with mystical monkey kung fu. Rufus bites through Eric killing him. He does this with added monkey kung fu strength. Remember earlier in the movie Rufus could not bite through Eric's shoe. Rufus taps that power and saves the world too.
All this combined makes Kim realize what Ron means to her. He's already told her in a way that he wants something more in their relationship. The movie ends with two awkward teens, afraid to express themselves, coming together, and overcoming the thought of being sexually resistant to each other. In other words, they kissed and didn't need to say, "I love you." to each other. They already knew.

I thought the movie was good, but I don't think it really "finalised" the series. I wish more of the minor characters had been included. Thank goodness they're making Season 4. ;D

Oh how I a can agree to that. Now the Kim Possible series has a chance to end with a bang and not the whimper that was StD, IMO.

I thought that your thought's really did sum up the movie. But the rating as it is concerned with my friend some of the talk that Bonnie says at the beginning CAN be taken sexually. "Oh, and don't shower. I like it when you glisten." -Bonnie "When you glisten? Could you be any sicker?!" - Kim Also there is K/R's kiss at the end to discuss. Someone I can recall said that Kim and Ron were tonguing . So it is a very discussion-able rating. P.s I'm not against anyone or K.P, I'm also a big K/R shipper!

Wouldn't it just suck alot if in the first episode of season four the end of std is shown and then they pan out to kim and ron in a theartre watching it? Then they go into conversation about how the Kim Possible movie wasn't so good and that Heather and Quin didn't do a good job of portraying them? I just think it would be ironic after "And the Mole Rat will be CGI".
Technically I guess it can't happen since the episode ended with the movie being canned but still....oh i guess I'm just being evil.....lol.
Still I'm a Kim/Ron shipper so I'm glad the movie was the real deal.

Intersting about the G rating. Refined in 1990, the ratings were broadened to help parents choose what programs were suitable for their kids. From the very beginning they were shown to be seriously flawed.
Skip to 2005. Kim Possible gets a G rating, even for So The Drama. Other animated television shows with the same amount of violent content get harsher ratings like TV-PG.
Of course many well known Hollywood directors have complained about flawed censorship. My favorite story is from Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Certain scenes of South Park: Bigger, Longer, And Uncut, were refused by censors. They went back and made it worse; and had those scene accepted.

STD is kinda of good but the the figthing part is just horrible. Shego versus Kim? Where is the creativity? ? The only new thing I saw is her supersuit. Ron versus erik with new figthing techinique is something new but not enough. The most dissapinted one is Kim s shego and it really sucks. The music is good but the fighting scene. To quote Monique "i can live witout it" If you never watch Kp before, you will have no idea what is Kp story is all about. Heck I am even confused with a character named Arny Custer. Lastly if you analysed properly, you will see a loop is ebing formednot only the movie but for the episodes as well. Let us take an example 1)Ron was jealous about Erik. We see this reaction first in Pai King Versus Cleopatra where Ron was jealous of Monique 2)Lip gloss as knock out gas. I can't rember the episodes but I knew there is one. 3)"That would be soo cool if it was not the last thing we are going to see." I think i got sick of this line already 4)Death ray? This is really an old move. Death Ray is trademark weapon for Evil Emperor Zurg. 5)teenage weaknes/ sounds like from crush episodes. P/s have it ever occur to you that every single animation made by disney (not based on a movie) have a red haired girl? I see one very intresting fact just now Kimberly Ann Possible + Drew Lipsky = Ranger Mira Nova (from Buzz lightyear)

I presume that what you are saying is that there are quite a number of repetitive plot devices for So the Drama. Well, I can't say I disagree, but it is also what they call coming around to full circle (I hope I got the terminology right, or I'd sound like a fool), or putting it in another way, references to previous episodes or events in the series. Okay, trivia: Well, Disney Animation movies have their fair share of red-heads too, like Anastasia Another interesting thing to note is that the voice actor for Mira is the voice actor for Shego. I won't even talk about how a certain someone-we-all-know-too-well would use that info... *shudders* ;D

I know this one the ep you are thinking of is Crush. I can remember this one because of Ron's quote. "Back off goon's cause I'm packing!" Goon"Lipgloss?" And they all begin laughing at him.

Since I have started this thread, i feel the guilt to put something new here, considering there will be an extra season, the movie - StD - didn't sum up anything.

Lastly if you analysed properly, you will see a loop is ebing formednot only the movie but for the episodes as well. Let us take an example... Well, in many cases they were parodies and self-parodies (the lip-gloss thing, for example).
