Yah man I don't understand how people can say Ron's not important either, he is awesome and I belive fan polls speak a lot too becuase every time there's a poll of who's the favorite character Ron wins.

The thing is, a story is about the character who has the most to learn. Kim was a born hero, but Ron has to learn it as he goes along. Kim's challenges tend to be more in line with dealing with the mundane realities of life while Ron's revolve around his growth from comic relief sidekick to man of action. In that context it's no wonder that Ron's plotlines come off as more dramatic than Kim's. It's the main reason why more fanfics revolve around Ron than any other KP character. There's more to explore with Ron as a person than Kim.

Personally, I find Ron more relateable to me than Kim. Another good reason why more writers write for Ron than Kim.

I dunno how people can't relate to Kim. I can relate to her.
Of course, I was her age when I started watching the show.
Oh, by the way, I think there's a reference as to Ron's age in the episode.
Kim says, "Ron, I don't think she'll be spitting up when she's 18." Ron replies, "Well, that makes ones of us."
And it made me happy.

I dunno how people can't relate to Kim. I can relate to her. Not everyone can relate to Kim. She's a take-charge, popular girl with an honor roll status, high intelligent family, etc. She's the tops. How many people can relate to a character who is mostly written to be a hero? Now Ron is written pretty much as an average person, thus the reason why a good deal of people can relate to him. He's not perfect, he goofs a lot, and he tends to take life as it goes. People can sympathize more with him and his problems than Kim's. Given my experience on this board, I know many here relate more to Ron than Kim. I know there are others who feel relate to Kim, but they are not in the large numbers I know many feel toward Ron.

He's the only D.C. character I could actually screw around with and not get arrested. Do you know how it is to watch Oliver Oken or Jake Long and not get pedo thoughts? LOL.

Jake Long's voice actor is like, 30 - so you're halfway there(!)
We should like, make a thread celebrating Ron being legal lol.

And so is Jason Earles (who plays Miley's brother on Hannah Montana). I want both of them and Danny Radcliffe. But, that's off topic.

I'm like Nabu. I relate a lot more to Ron Then I do to Kim.
When the show premired I was in the summer between my Freshman and Sophmore years of high school. I didn't have many friends. My Best friend was a red head female who was very Kim Like. I admittingly had a crush on her. I was clumsy, didn't try to my fullest ability. But then again when you can get A's by doing that, why try as hard as you can.

The reason why my focus is on Kim as oppsed to Ron is because, unlike Ron, she doesn't seem to have a true reason as to why she plays superhero all the time.
We all know that Ron joined in so that he could be with his best friend, but it was never explained exactly WHY Kim does it. Does she do it for a specific reson or simply because she feels it's right? If so, what makes her think like that?
Ron's just the everyman, and the everyman doesn't appeal to me. Kim, however, is the real enigma. Which is why I don't like the whole "Ron's Destiny" plot. It just takes away from Kim's uniqueness and mystery.

That was explained during Team Impossible. It's what she does.
I think the quote is "Save the world, It's what I do."

I always thought it was hardwired into Kim to be a hero. You like, see it all the way back in Pre-K.

Is it a part of her upbringing? Genetic? Who knows? If you ask me, the episode didn't really explain anything about her motives aside from the fact that she's just naturally heroic. I, however, prefer to see a little more info.

I, however, prefer to see a little more info. She knows 17 types of Kung-Fu, she has mad-cheerleading-skillz, and she has a 12 year old super genius on her side who is able to invent insane gadgets. And so she uses all that to fight mad scientists, wannabe-monkey-kings and all those bad guys.
