People don't usually laugh when they're being serious. I've seen it more as an "Ha, she's so hopeless optimistic!" laugh because that's a situation where people use "lol", too. There isn't a situation where they don't, though...whatever.

The question I'm almost afraid to ask (seeing as she's pretty much disappeared after So The Drama), but is Tara too friendly? She shows interest in Ron at first, then she goes out with Josh Mankey, and by So The Drama, she's dating someone totally new! So does she just go through boys too easily, or is it her? YOU DECIDE. Edit: modified so that the filter doesn't twist my question too much. no offense, but dude, I have no idea what u mean by this. lol.

Tara's behavior isn't too odd or uncommon for young girls. Face it: She's young. She doesn't know what she wants in life yet, much less in a guy. So there's not much wrong with being in one relationship after another -- can't help what doesn't work out.
Besides, who's to say all her relationships were so serious as to depict her as 'loose?' A flip-flopper more likely.

She dated what, a maximum of four guys over the span of the entire series?
By normal teen standards she's a Frikkin' nun! Dating is not any sort of serious comitment, it's a way to get to know each other better and see if they're right for each other. We don't see her doing anything more than dancing with a guy, she'd have to go a lot further to be considered 'loose'.
At 16, a teenager often goes through boyfriends like dirty socks because they don't really know what they want in a boy. And they themselves change very quickly as they grow.
What's with the double standard anyway, Ron is chasing girls of all ages througout the series and no-one calls him a skirt-chaser because of it. Boys have it good in a patriarcal society it seems!

Well, Ron seems to go after any girl that would show interest back to him. A skirt-chaser goes after a girl even when one is right in front of him. I think that's a slight difference. I will concede, though, that we have no idea how serious Tara's various relationships are. I just wanted to get some conversation going.

No.I always thought of her as sweet and innocent. So wat if she dated a couple of guys. All teenagers do. And that does not mean anything.

"Loose"? This is not 1955. XD I originally used a different word, but the word filter changed it and confused the poll totally. Live and learn.

I don't think so.
She strikes me as the type who dates someone for a while, but doesn't go much farther than kissing, and then, if it doesn't work, breaks up.
Prhaps she simply has a "romantic soul" and is prone to falling in love easily.

It depends on your term "loose".

Yeah, she's loose. So, don't shake her too hard, or she'll fall apart.

I would have to say no. I know lots of really nice girls who date lots of guys through their "high school career", and it doesn't mean they're "loose", it just means things didn't work out (she wasn't the right girl, they weren't the right guy, etc). Tara strikes me as someone who is just very bubbly and friendly, and possibly a bit naive. She comes across as not exactly the smartest of the bunch, but the one with the heart, and that counts for soemthing on its own. The only real reason why she's a cheerleader is because she's pretty and she's Bonnie's friend, but she doesn't act like Bonnie at all. Tara had a crush on Ron, but she seemed to shy to approach him (except for that one cute peck), but she always defended him. I think in the end she really wanted to be with him, but then Josh came around and asked her out. Then, I'm sure, same thing for Kim, the whole Josh-thing didn't work out, and she ended up going out with another guy *shrug* Also..... as for the virginity thing, .. she strikes me as a virgin. But you never know. There are quite a few people in my highschool who striked me as still virgins, but they weren't *shrug* I wouldn't go as far as calling them "loose", because they're not, .. it's just kind of a shame, but.. it's their body. And most of them are still with the person they lost it to.. so, that's a good thing.

I agree that Tara is a nice person, and yes it is possible to be nice for the sake of being nice. From what I've seen of her character she's genuinely being herself.
As for Tara crushing on Ron I didn't see her doing too much give Ron that impression except for the Sink or Swim episode. Alot of guys would want to be careful not to misinterpret. (A gentleman would anyway) But I'll admit to not having seen all the episodes so I don't know if she ever dropped any lady like hints for Ron. The guy that's being crushed on is usually the last to know.
We don't why she was with other guys that would be up to the writers of show to tell us that. So I will give her the benefit of the doubt because everyone always expects it for themselves.
