Batman's mental problems hinder his justice-laying. ANY normal person would realize that Joker should be executed, both on the grounds that he just plain deserves it, and on the grounds that many of his crimes REQUIRE the death sentence. And that says nothing of all the other villains he refuses to kill. Either Batman is so mentally gone that he doesn't realize that his rules have indirectly killed a lot of people, or he's an idiot for realizing it and not therefore seeking the therapy required for him to do what is of the greatest benefit to society. As for all your charges against Punisher, to quote the recent movie, he's ok with that. But don't phrase it "killing indiscriminately." He doesn't murder anyone he pleases. He murders people who deserve it, but that the joke of a legal system and mentally ill superheroes protect. *pops up out of the ground in a very self-righteous and intrusive manner!!* Tsaal, you ever seen Trigun, or Avatar? You're into anime, right? It's like what Vash says, only...Vash is a lot goofier about the whole thing. No on all three counts. Either Batman is so mentally gone that he doesn't realize that his rules have indirectly killed a lot of people, or he's an idiot for realizing it and not therefore seeking the therapy required for him to do what is of the greatest benefit to society. And once again you're using the same, flawed "Crazy = Stupid" argument. I'm not going to go into it anymore. You clearly don't know the difference. As for Batman, of course he knows what the Joker has done. He's caused Batman the most grief of all, by killing the second Robin, paralyzing Batgirl and killing one of his best friends' wife. So yeah, Batman has a pretty good idea of what goes on. That doesn't mean he's going to stop following his own moral code that he's set for himself. And you clearly don't get the idea that there's more than one kind of intelligence. Reread what I said, taking into account that I'm well aware that Batman's has extensive knowledge of various topics. What he obviously fails at, though, is the concept of cause and effect. His moral code has lead to the deaths of dozens of people, including, obviously, those close to him. Yet he sticks to his moral code when any other person would make an exception after, you know, the tenth breakout leading to the next 15 murders. If the world was a computer, Batman would be on Windows ME. Him being okay with being a hypocrite doesn't make him less of a hypocrite. He doesn't want to be less of a hypocrite. I never said he did. I said he kills indiscriminately, as in he can kill anyone as long as he thinks they deserve it. Like someon who litters, downloads music or buys a pirated movie. I assume, since you love capital punishment so much, you must be hanging out with these guys: No, I prefer this guy. But if a person is so far gone that he simply can't be rehabilitated and will continue to try to break out and kill more people for no real reason (as he has done multiple times in the past), it's of the greatest benefit to society for that person to be out of the picture. Yay for Utilitarianism.

Not every case of one person dieing at the hands of another person is murder. For example, if someone breaks into my house and threatens the lives of my family, I will kill them. That's not murder. I wouldn't. If there is ANY WAY to resolve a situation without killing someone, shouldn't you find that way? You don't know what someone is capable of doing, especially what a stranger will do. If someone is willing to break into my house while I'm there, then I'm not risking my family's lives just to find out if there is a non-violent resolution. I may be a gambler, but that's not a risk I'm willing to take. Besides, by breaking an entering, the criminal takes the risk of getting killed. I'd try for a knee shot or something like that, but first and foremost, I am taking whatever shot is available first.

So - really cool and interesting in the comic; really lame in the movie? I don't know anything about Wolverine anyway, but it's a shame when they make a movie and lose the things that made the original (comic, book, whatever) good.

When they say Deadpool is going to be in the movie, people are going to expect... Deadpool. At first I was thrilled because I learned that Ryan Reynolds was going to play him. He's the perfect choice after all. Then, little by little, it was revealed how much they were going to mess up the character.

I like how you can see that he's actually enjoying chasing Catwoman around far more than spending time at the party. As for Deadpool, he does get to talk, but only for a short while at the beginning of the film.

Would someone who doesn't really follow X-Men or the comics in general enjoy the Wolverine movie?

Well, perhaps. Most people who read the comics, especially those involving Deadpool, would probably be disappointed that the movie hasn't stayed true to the character. I'm guessing hose who haven't read that much X-Men, or aren't too familiar with the characters would have a better chance of enjoying the movie than those who have.

Of course Batman likes chasing Catwoman better. She's actually interesting, unlike the generic society girls at the party. And she knows him as Batman, not just Bruce Wayne...and I always got the impression that he thoroughly prefers being Batman over being Bruce. So, I shouldn't even ask this because I don't have time to read them, but... Do you read Batman fanfics? If so, are there any you'd recommend?

Indeed, he'd rather race across the rooftops of Gotham and tackle villains than slowdance with ladies he hardly knows. And you're right about him prefering to be Batman. Just about everyone, DC writers and fans alike, agree that Bruce Wayne is the mask and that Batman is who he really is. So, I shouldn't even ask this because I don't have time to read them, but... Do you read Batman fanfics? If so, are there any you'd recommend? I actually haven't read any, but I am contemplating writing one myself.

So, he doesn't even get to talk? I bet Ryan Reynolds wasn't too thrilled about that. Oh, Ryan Reynolds gets to talk. Boy, does he ever get to talk. If you don't mind spoilers keep reading, otherwise you might want to stop. Deadpool isn't really a Wolverine copy in the movie, either. Wolverine's powers are just one of the many powers Deadpool is supposed to have. He has Wolverine's adamantium structure, but he also has teleportation abilities as well as Cyclops eye beams. It is implied that Deadpool has quite a few powers, but he only employws a few of them during his fight with Wolverine and Sabretooth Victor. The point behind Deadpool in the movie is that he is supposed to be the culmination of years of research to find out which powers can coexist within one body without destroying it. Striker is wanting to build one super mutant that can hunt down and wipe out all the other mutants. The only reason Logan even gets adamantium implants in the first place is because Striker tricks him into volunteering for the surgery. Striker just wants to use him as a test subject before giving Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) the adamantium. So in the movie, Wolverine is really just a test subject for Deadpool instead of Deadpool being a modified copy of Wolverine. I would also like to add that after seeing the comic pages above and from listening to Ryan Reynolds in the first part of the movie, I was quite glad to see his lips sewn shut. His mouth doesn't stay sewn shut, however. By the end of the movie, the stitches are gone and his mouth is open for him to talk.
