Sigh... Well, it happened again. The Deviant Art staff deleted two more of my drawings. --My Deviant Art page is drakkenfan.deviantart.com/
This time they deleted "Kim Possible Gives Birth"
www.geocities.com/drakkenslair/birth.html
and "Kim is Feeling Lonely Tonight"
www.geocities.com/drakkenslair/kimlonely.html
Take a look at those drawings, and you'll see why I'm angry they were deleted. First of all, neither of them showed any genitalia or breasts or sex or anything that would normally be considered p0rnographic. Secondly, since when is a picture of a woman who has just given birth and is being shown her child for the first time considered p0rn? It does not show her genitals or the baby's. You know, one of the most famous female artists in art history, Frida Kahlo made a famous painting called "My Birth" in 1932. Too bad for Frida she'd get her beautiful historic painting deleted if she tried to post it on DA. Just what is wrong with the DA staff? They've never been to art school I guess, because it really seems like they don't have a clue as to what p0rnography actually is.
In fact, I'm so angry that they deleted that drawing, I wrote them a letter. Here's what I wrote them:
Hello... I just recieved a note that my drawing of a woman who had just given birth (and did NOT show any genitalia of either her or the baby, only the umbilical cord of the child) was deleted as a policy violation. I am totally shocked that a beautiful scene such as giving birth could be viewed as p0rnography! It was not drawn in a p0rnographic way at all, and did not show any private parts. Here is a link to a copy of the drawing: www.geocities.com/drakkenslair/birth.html?1138734008234 And as I'm sure you'll see, there is nothing that violates policy about this drawing. I want permission to post it again. If you want, I can label it as mature content, but I honestly don't think even that should be necessary, considering there is no genitalia or sexual references. I am just utterly shocked that it was deleted.

Hopefully whoever reads it will be someone who has the intelligence to understand that a woman giving birth is not smut.
My second deleted drawing "Kim is Feeling Lonely Tonight" should also have never been deleted. Since when is underwear and a bra p0rnography? I mean there are clothing tags and advertisements for bras and underwear that show women wearing bras and underwear all the time. But what I really don't understand is the fact that nude fetish photography gets chosen and awarded Daily Deviations ALL the time there, almost every day. I'm sure if I took a photo of private parts and posted it on there as nude photography, it wouldn't get deleted. It might even get awarded a Daily Deviation. But I drew a picture of Kim Possible in her bra and underwear and they delete it? It makes no sense! There wasn't anything sexual going on at all, she just had her hand on Drakken's cheek. And since when is touching a man's face with your hand considered "sexual content"? If touching a man's cheek is pictures to the DA staff, then I don't know what would not be considered p0rn. Certainly all tv shows would be banned from Deviant Art.
Honestly, the DA staff doesn't seem to have a clue about what is p0rn and what is not. They allow nude fetish photography, but they delete drawings of a woman in a bra and underwear, or giving birth, when it shows no nudity at all? It's insulting to me. These people obviously have no education in art or understanding about art. They seriously need some better staff there. Someone like me, with a bachelor's degree in art, or possibly some art professors, you know, people who know the difference between giving birth and p0rnography. I mean, it should be common sense to even people who didn't study art.
Anyways, what do you guys think about what happened to me?
