I can't believe I missed you falling out of your chair! *fake cries* It was the most amazing thing you would have ever seen. I felt incredibly stupid afterwards. But do you have any insight into my previous comments?

And, since we seem to be on the subject of Monique... I have a Monique pondery, too. Who did she go to the prom with? She was warming up to Brick at the dance, but I didn't see her there with anyone. You're telling me Monique, the Monique, went stag? Or was it all a plan to make herself available and make some moves on Brick...? We never see her dating anyone throughout the series, so it's pretty likely she went stag. Is she conniving enough to purposely make moves on someone else's boyfriend? I doubt it. Brick seemed to show interest all on his own, anyway. Maybe Monique ought to have her own thread.

WHOA!! Aaiint, rewind! We don't have to make this this hard. OK, so maybe Kim and Ron's feelings for each other are a little sketchy in Season 3, but the important thing is that they're together! The uncomfortable "just-friends-but-I-think-there's-something-more" is behind us! Embracing "StD" and the future of K/R is the way to go. Now, I'm not saying that discussing the past is bad. It's just that, well, it makes some people's brain hurt too much. *cough* And besides, we all knew Kim and Ron would end up together. What's the controversy about? Although it does make for an awesome "KP" thread.

You're right. The important thing is they are together.
And Kimron, you're so right! ;d

Ahhh... the infamous "Re-evaluation threads make their appearance.
Luckily, K/R shippiness began with the second episode of the season ("Emotion Sickness"), but of course, we still get more of the "OMG Kim N Ron look @ each other!!!! Shippiness!!!," albeit in a more professional, polished manner.
Does that make me a non-shipper, or anti-K/R? Cloudmonet might say so, but I must disagree.
That, and I don't have the time to refute dozens of pages of eisegesis.

Why are we still arguing about when it all began?! It happened and they are together now! It doesn't matter anymore.

Why are we still arguing about when it all began?! It happened and they are together now! It doesn't matter anymore. I didn't think we were arguing about when they got together. Or that they are together. I thought this was all about figuring out how they got to this point. And I've found it most interesting, thank you very much. Brick seemed to show interest all on his own, anyway. Maybe Monique ought to have her own thread. I don't think "conniving" is the right word. But Monique is a girl who will go after what she wants. And I think she wants Brick, as dumb as he is. My main evidence for this is when Monique calls Kim at the very beginning of StD. Honestly, even though I'm sure Bon and Brick are a very popular couple at the high school, I don't think it is that big of news that Kim would care if they got back together. Everyone knows they've always had this "on again, off again" relationship. The only reason Kim would take this call while she is flying through the air, gripping an old Japanese dude, is because she wants to know whether her good friend Monique has got her boy lined up. But, of course, Brick got back with Bonnie. I don't think Monique is necessarily all that upset by it, but she is still interested in him. Even if it's (most likely) superficially.

Yes, it's a French kiss, a lengthy French Kiss, and their bodies are firmly pressed together all the way down. For that matter, the Emotion Sickness kiss c'est Francais aussi, mais oui? When ze Kim kisses ze Ron, she does zis sing for real.

Are you sure, I don't recall seeing any tongue in the kiss, nor is their any evidence that the ES kiss involved any tongue. I'm willing to admit that the StD kiss *might* be French, but to say so with certainty, nuh uh. Late to the party. Nope, I'm right on time. You, however, were excessively early. And it's Ninja Nac o, not Ninja nac k.

What? You don't speak 'typo?'
ES - the way it's drawn it could go either way - you literally cannot see their mouths while they are together.
StD - Gotta be French. Their mouths were very definitely open, so we're left to think their tongues didn't get involved?

My impression was that she wore the battle suit because the robots, which she had just barely defeated, were so dangerous. Certainly rescuing Erik, who she belived was her boyfriend, was high on her mind, but I think, given the danger, she would have broken out the suit anyway. nnnn... that doesn't really satisfy me. I'm just going to argue that they wanted Kim to have some kick-ass outfit to go out in style. No thoughts on Monique, Cloud? Yes cloud, infamous. INfamous. Yes, it's a French kiss, a lengthy French Kiss, and their bodies are firmly pressed together all the way down. For that matter, the Emotion Sickness kiss c'est Francais aussi, mais oui? I'm willing to admit that the StD kiss *might* be French, but to say so with certainty, nuh uh. I have to agree. I will have to look at the ES kiss again, but I doubt it. As for the StD kiss... definitely open-mouthed, but no way of knowing if tongues were exchanged. Although, most likely... yeah. And it's Ninja Nac o, not Ninja nac k. Also: Tasty Assassin ;D

I can agree with the idea that she may be still interested, but taking it in stride. Maybe she intended to ask him if he had a date for the prom but Bonnie got to him first. Who knows? Monique's lack of and pursuit of a date isn't really talked about at length in StD. Why do you think she's only superficially interested in Brick? I've seen some suggestions that she's shallow and into looks over character, but I've seen no proof of that. More likely she actually thinks he's a nice guy (and deserves better than Bonnie). Besides, he might not be nearly as dumb as he was in season one. BTW, Avenger, since this conversation about Monique is off-topic in this thread, I've started a thread about her. If you (or anyone else) would to take this over there, you're more than welcome.

Unless you count sexy references to breasts and bras and sexual overtures on Life With Derek. ;d BUT I LOVE IT!

I don't know and don't think anyone else can know how deep Kim's kisses with Ron were (to be honest, I don't want to know! TMI!). The only thing that can be done is offer a comparison between her kisses with Ron and other guys. When Kim is with Josh, Kim receives a gentlmanly peck on the cheek and blushes -- and this is not the first time she's been out with her crush. With Eric, she wants to kiss him but doesn't, even though she's fallen hard and seems to have spent a lot of time with him. But with Ron, whether moodulated or not, Kim loses no time and skips to some real lip-smacking. Bottom-line: Once pur Kimmie faces up to her feelings for the Ronster, she stops fooling around (or starts, as the case may be .. )

No. Josh actually kissed her. I've always felt that. It's prolly why everybody hates Josh.

No. Josh actually kissed her. I've always felt that. It's prolly why everybody hates Josh. You may be right. I checked wallacb's screen caps and they weren't conclusive on the matter. However, even if Josh kissed Kim on the lips, it was nothing more than a quick peck. That said, I suspect you're right that that kiss is a source of a lot of the animus towards Josh -- which makes no sense whatsoever. The guy was a perfect, understanding gentleman.

I know.
But I do know why we all hate Josh. Because Josh was in the way of Kim's happiness with Ron. So, we hated him.
He was a good guy, but we all made him out to be a bad guy.
