Sadly I can never remember to put Rufus in, he always seems like a add on, with no real thougt put into it.
Rufus would also have a real hard time fitting in, it is a deadly jungle.
Ch 6 should be up by the end of this week at the latest.

Wow!
You are really starting to hit your stride on this story. Ron is really starting to feel the pressure. The only thing that I have to question is the "next few weeks" part. I don't think that Ron would be kept there for a few weeks. Not when Kim's life is on the line.
The tenstion between Josh and Ron is great. Their conflicting reactions and Ron's obsessive approach are amazing.

When I finish chapter 7 you will undestand why I said the next few weeks. Constant attacks by the enemy and not getting enough reinforcements will basically force them to stay put. This is the boy who built the Mega Weather Generator and a weapon of mass destruction out of a stationary bicycle, a vacuum cleaner, and other assorted spare parts. IF the NVA kept him pinned down for a few weeks while Kim was being tortured I see some history changing. Like the complete and utter destruction of North Vietnam. Or at least a rapidly growing deterioration in his mental state over those few weeks. You really do have to wonder if Kim will recognize him. Poor boy. It actually popped into my head when you first described the situation. I am really curious to see exactly what happened to Kim. I did some research and found out that there were no American female POWs in Vietnam. I am curious to see how you will have the Vietcong treat Kim since she is female, or if this will make any difference at all. Anyway, keep up the good work, and if you want to delay "The Way of the Badge" for a few chapters, well I wouldn't mind one bit. ;D |

Thank you Trollis and taechunsa! With any luck, chapter 7 should be finished sometime tonight and I'll post it immediatly when it is complete. The way of the badge is put on hiatus for now, once I finish this story I'll go back and finish that one. I'll dive a little bit into upcoming chapters a bit here, Ron's mental state is in serious trouble and his MMP is starting to take effect. It will have him do things he never imagined, and when He finds Kim, he is going to let it take total control of him (Not a good thing mind you) Thats all I'll touch on right now. I have to get bact to finishing chapter 7  |

Uh... I honestly do not know what to say. Wow! Holy naco!
I am glad that you are putting "The Way of the Badge" on hold. I like that story, but I don't think I could handle the suspense of this story for very long.
I honestly don't know what to say. The syntax and such might not have been perfect, but to be bluntly honest I wasn't even paying attention to it. All that I cared about was getting to the next line. Seeing what would happen next.
Get to Kim quick, this is killing me. It is much worse not knowing. You are killing me here. All that I can say with much confidence is that however bad they treated Kim, Ron will pay it back ten fold. I can't even imagine what he will be like when he completely surrenders to the MMP. The NVA had better be darn glad they didn't kill Kim becuase I have a feeling she will be the only person on the planet capable of brining him back.

Glad you like it I didn't even realize the whole Ron and Josh ordeal untill I actually wrote it, Kind of a last minute addition that brings it all back to reality. Kim will be in the next chapter, I promise you that. The River Rat stint will be short so I could get the main part of the story off my mind (Ron getting to Kim has been on my mind in this situation since I first got the idea) To put it mildly Ron will not be a happy camper when he gets to Kim, and his actions affect everyone. The Squad, Josh, Kim and even the VietCong who operate the camp. I'm taking a short break for now, I'll start chapter 8 tomorrow and it should be up by late Sat night/early sunday morning, or Sunday mid day. |

Chapter 9 is in the works, Funny I have ideas for this chapter for 3 days and when I started typing it now, nothing. Also doesn't help that I have 3 more stories circulating through my head
