Just a few days left to vote. If you haven't done so, please do soon! We're just 2 away from 100 votes in total! And just for reference people, the Slash board has REALLY responded. Do you want them taking half the categories right off the top? If you haven't voted, better hurry! Yeah, I'd like to echo this sentiment. I think everyone can agree that we want the overall vote to be as representative of the entire KP fan community as possible. No one, least of all the writers, wants to see an outcome where people will say it was dominated by a single segment of the fandom. I'm sure everyone here can name their favorite writer and/or story pretty easily. So even if it's just to vote for them, go do it before it's too late. Sincerely, Allaine

Here's a helpful hint for anyone. If you have a Fanfiction.net account and have been favoring authors and stories, check out your favs for titles and author names to be nominated. You wouldn't have fav any author and story if you didn't like them.

We're up to 104 votes in total now, and the slash crowd has continued to be responsive. While the K/R crowd has benefited in some categories in the last day (I am most happy, because I personally made some ground in ones I thought lost to me), the slash crowd has made strides in other categories. People, do you want Kigo sweeping the awards? If you haven't voted yet, do so now!
(That should get some more votes rolling in! lol)
Tomorrow by 11:59 pm EST Canada is the deadline to get your votes in, if you haven't already voted. The awards get presented on Thursday, so stay tuned if you have already! It's sure to be an interesting show!

Hey, Commander Argus, Spectre666, and anyone here who is posting stories within a day at FF.net, why not mention in a note in your stories about the Fannie Awards? I have a feeling the Slash fans are spreading the word faster and despite I done my share to broadcast the awards, I haven't seen much of anyone else helping to do so.
Maybe more non-slash fans will vote if people spread the word at FF.net through their stories.

2 more came in from the slash crowd since I posted just a little while ago. I better get some K/R support here soon!

I'm surprised the Fannie Awards are not mentioned at ARA, despite the Fannie Awards website mentioned that one can contact through ARA.

Well, first off, we couldn't get permission to post the Fannie's at ARA. Phil wouldn't allow it. So, I simply PMed all the people that have posted over 80 (before my PM privalages were promptly removed).
And the website doesn't mention the ARA at all, where do you see that? It does mention here, the slash board, my FF.net forum, and my DA account, plus my personal email.

Ah yes, the ARA. I remember being a member there briefly.
And then suddenly I wasn't again *shrugs*

Hold on a tick. Zaratan, they wouldn't let you post a thread about it and your PM privalages were revoked for then privately telling those you thought would still like to know without spamming the board?
I haven't been banned (as far as I know) and haven't been back there in a long time. The temptation to make a Drakkonian dictatorship joke is overwhelming to say the least, but I'll just keep my mouth shut...
Edit: Oops. Too late.

Oh heck, we even asked permission to post it up, and were told no.
Oh, and the slash board has seen my encouragement here, and they are putting in an all-out campaign today and tomorrow on their end to retain dominance. I've gotten even more votes from them. Come on people, if you haven't voted yet, you better do so soon!

Oh heck, we even asked permission to post it up, and were told no. I am a bit curious as to what the logic behind saying no is. Unless of course they asked you not to share the reason in which case you should honor their wishes. However, that would just make things all the more curious... Aers (That Writer Chick): I know. Just a little joke for you.

well, it *could* have been that since Steve Loter goes there and posts that they didn't want to be seen as promoting fanfiction - since it's technically illegal and all that silly stuff. It's not the best reason, but it could be seen as a legitimate one.
@unt: thanks for reminding me of the public humiliation I suffered over there - of course, being banned I was unable to see it but I knew that Phil ripped me a new one in public. Since our entire conversation was private, I was rather bothered that he decided to trash my rep in public, but that's his problem - not mine.
and yes, I got a transcript of who said what. Wasn't impressed.

Sorry, Aers. Hope I didn't put you in a bad mood. Just remember that you have the love and respect of the people that actually matter.

thanks - but as I said, it might have been since "official" KP peeps visit there that the site didn't want to start any controversy over if anyone had seen any fanfiction... it's one of the unspoken rules - just to avoid ligitation anyone in any official capacity can't even be hinting at reading or seeing fanfiction... sad, but understandable in this age of fast lawsuits. which is a darned pity, 'cause there's lot of good stories that would make GREAT KP eps.

Oh, no reason whatsoever was given that I know of, so I have no idea why he said no. CaptainKodak made the request for me though, since I figured I was in hot water with them anyways, so maybe he might have been told why not.

One of these days I'm going to join that craptacular hole and see just how fast I get banned. Only time I've ever gone there was following MrDrP's link about the renewal of KP last November.

Actually, it appears I am a criminal deviant, and my idea would constitute illegal copyright infringment, at least as far as I have been informed.
