I'm still waiting to hear back from my co-host, but at least I can start it off anyways with the first couple of sections. Hopefully, I hear from him soon.

Hmmmm... I have strong hunch Zar and/or Argie will not say anything, but I have to ask this question.
Zar, when you wrote up the awards ceremony story, did you notified the top three nominees of each category that he/she made the top three and ask him/her for a brief speech if he/she won? Or did you written up each winner's speech out of the blue, guessing what he/she might say or do?

I notified the top 3 in each category ahead of time, and asked them for clips and a speech. Some people submitted 6 speeches and clips in total.
And all speeches were written by the award winners themselves. If something had to altered within the speech to fit in within the awards show, it was done with the express permission of the writer, with full disclosure on what was changed.
Basically, everything after the announcement of the winner is completely at the discretion of the writer, and I did nothing to influence that, other than telling the slash writers that Kim and Shego were following canon here, and they were VERY supportive of that in their speeches.

Quite a lot of work you've done there, Zar! Well done and quite entertaining.  Hey, Matt! Are you still running, or have Mr. Doctor Possible finally caught ya? ;D I admit that some of the winners surprised me. Like "The Lotus Bloom" winning best K/R story. No offense to the Cap, but I didn't find that story really that great to top even G-Go's "Reunion". (shrug) Oh, well. This goes to show me that not everyone have the same views on these matters. |
